Horizon Zero Dawn Tie Down Trial Guide

The combat in Horizon is probably the worst fucking shit any game has ever had. Way too many fucking random-ass items that doesn't say anything waht they do. No information on what the fuck the different weaknesses on an enemy will do, literally shit fucking damage after you break off all the parts and woopie-doo, now you got no more weakpoints to get good damage on the fucking stupid robots and they're still at 50% health or more.

And the dodge that literally does NOTHING because enemies will just home in on your fucking location mid-air after you roll to the side trying to get out of the way. Pro-tip: Just fucking unbind the dodge keybind if you're on PC, you will NEVER need it.

ANd this trial can go fucking eat shit, and the devs that came up with it too. Fuck them and fuck this game, can't believe people think this was a good game. Visually stunning for sure, but the story is generic and combat is beyond the worst that exists in the gaming industry.

Absolute cunt that designed this piece of shit challenge. It's pathetic, just get run over by a big fucking giant when your trying to do something accurately. This made me turn the game off and delete it

I got it first try after watching this tbh I couldn't figure it out before I thought I had to rope em once I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working 😂 but u can critical hit one twice and it counts and when I was doing it the stupid guard ppl came and killed it before I could critical hit it I hate those ppl sometimes.

Glinthawks are the worst enemy in the game in my opinion. I mean using fire arrows does a lot of damage but they are still a pain in the ass to hit

The Trial is sooooo annoying , like you said the brush gets in the way of your vision , really bad camera angles , would be nice if it went to 1st person view for trials .

Fuck this stupid fucking quest

Got this done in 3-4 tries. I used the shadow sharpshoot bow and Carja ropecaster. Went down the right rope and shot the Glinthawks with tear blast arrow which makes them fall down. Run up, rope them up a few times and critical hit kill them. Rinse and repeat two more times.

The key is to stay on the cliffs on the right where you went down the rope so the tramples down get you. I didn't have one trampler interrupt me doing this method. Good Luck!

I agree with the comments that most of the trials quests (not just this one) are frustrating and obnoxious and reduce the "fun factor". The same thing can be said for Hunting Grounds quests.
Anyway, for this trial, it is not necessary to get the bird on the ground. The ropecaster will work when the birds are still up a ways in the air. If they notice you on the ground, they often come close enough to be in range. Two shots are usually enough to pull them down and ready them for the critical hit.
I tried shooting normal arrows at the birds, but they always fell to the ground dead. I tried roping them in the air and found that it works very well.

It took me about 6 tries but without this video it wouldve been thousands tysm

I'm done. Fuck this game and fuck this platinum. I tried getting platinum on this game 5 times now and this this was my last try..whoever put this challenges in this game hope you die in a car crush

What an amazing challenge..you have 25 robots on you attacking at once while you trying to do something..yeah that's sounds fair

ANYONE REPLAYING THE GAME BEFORE WEST READ THIS FOR THIS QUEST. All you need to do is shock arrow any high bird to the floor. Rope cast two times. R1 crit it.
You can use the same bird again if it doesn't die!
If the bulls are in the way ROPE THEM ONE OR TWO TIMES. You don't need a full tie down to stall them. The quest is EASY if you follow these instructions.

This trial is literally pissing me off
