Nobody is calling Europe «West (or Western) Asia» although it is a subcontinent / peninsula of Asia as India.

South Asia means India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal collectivly as a subcontinent in the southern part of Aisa. Just like how China, Japan, Korea and Mongolia are collectively called East Asia and also how south American countries are called latin America. Use your brain guys.

If people want to collectively refer to Indians, Bangladeshis and srilankans etc(brown gang) they will use the term 'South Asian'. Nothing wrong with it.

If you see today's RRR Oscar interview the interviewer is congratulating all the actors saying that it's big thing for all south Asians and and I am like its Indian movie and Indian representation not South Asian. if India does something good why should South Asians takes its credit and when anything bad happens in India only Indians are blame for it why not Pakistanis blamed for it also.

Bangladesh is part of South Asia, were a sovereign independent nation. Bangladesh has nothing to do with india.

I agree with you. I live in Canada I also remember I was filling out a government or an institutional form here about information about my ethnicity and they had options listings Asian for Chinese, South Asian in which they mentioned in a bracket what south Asian means like and they wrote in that it is Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. but there were no options for India. So I had to scroll at the bottom and I clarified in the others option that I am Indian.
