best video out here for this topic! Helped me out sooo much, THANK YOU!
ОтветитьDefinitely not at all what I thought my first apartment was all supposed to be in my opinion I've been so let down from management neighbors and then the roaches that make it impossible to figure out hiw to bring my old friends around to see what's up with my life, so embarrassing that I can't even do the things that I had wanted to do it's sooo wrong! I'm so depressed and cry nearly everyday and not to mention get wrote up in my tenant file when I speak the truth' as abusive to management or other maintaince personel' also in contract states cannot bring hammydowns or thrift store items have to be all new furniture and like to stop or delete the bedbug or silverfish similiar infestations cominginto there 1960's distressed needing to be demolished nk name apartment complex .in fact my first apartment is my living regret!
ОтветитьAlso thank you for being honest about being able to find things cheaper at other places and full transparency in explaining how you acquired this over time so you were able to be more selective with style/price!
ОтветитьThis was actually so helpful. So many vids I come across will put stuff on there like charcuterie boards 🙃 like, girl…I’m talking NECESSITIES not the extra stuff 😂
ОтветитьGreat video! I just want to add 3 things though. 1, thrift stores are where it's at! 2, I'm seeing a lot of comments that recommend buying cookware from the dollar store, but I actually recommend splurging on high quality cookware/dinnerware/any type of 'ware' that touches your food. It's shocking how many things that are literally meant to handle food are not food safe. Lots of cheaper (and even some not so cheap) options are made out of toxic materials, even if you buy them from reputable stores. You want to look for things that are free from lead, BPA, cadmium, and other carcinogens. And if it doesn't make it clear that it's free from them then it's most likely not. Some things are a little more confusing, like porcelain and melamine dishes for example. Porcelain itself is safe, but the glaze they use might be carcinogenic. Melamine is considered safe unless you put it in the microwave. It's annoying how expensive quality cookware is, but I'd personally rather wait a little longer to save up for cute bedding or decor and instead make sure I'm not harming myself with every meal. And finally 3, you might be surprised how many things you can find for free! If you live in a big city you might find things literally just sitting out on the curb. If you live somewhere with a scheduled bulk trash pickup you can keep an eye on what your neighbors are putting out when bulk day rolls around. And then there are also a lot of sites/apps where you can find or offer things for free or for a low price, such as Freecycle, Offer Up, Facebook Marketplace, etc. You have to be a little careful but you can often find things in really good (sometimes even perfect!) condition. =]
ОтветитьLove the Midwest accent
ОтветитьEvery girl in this category of videos speaks the same way and with the same Starbucks tone and use cute for everything 😂
ОтветитьWith a good credit boost from Cyber Credible I was able to get two biweekly stubs and Bank statement to submit for my apartment approval. Great tbh
ОтветитьThank you so much for doing this! I really appreciate it!!
ОтветитьBig Lots has some beautiful couches and other furniture items i would recommend them 100% out of 50%
Ответитьi like that shs low key
ОтветитьNotes for 6 months!? Im just gonna put a mattress in the corner, LOL 😆
ОтветитьI got a $1600 couch from Ashley and $300 coffee table from Wayfair too. Love it same
ОтветитьNot me making the exact same list before I even started watching apartment videos! Love this same taste
ОтветитьI needed a new apartment and I needed to bring in paystubs and bank statements last week and that got my stressed out asf till I came across some great comments about deelscafe💯💯
ОтветитьMy girl needed a bank statements and stub last week and I was worried about her loosing her not getting her new apartment 😴 but everything good now only because of deelscafe good work 👍
ОтветитьI am not even close to moving out I'm only in my early teens but I love watching apartment videos I have made a list of everything I'll need and I have even made a list in google docs where I am putting links to things I'll need.
ОтветитьGood video! But it seams like many people have other opinions. For me you don’t need to get everything when you move in.
I find it less stressful to get things one by on to not be ,,overload“ I still kinda wish I started to save up for my own place a long time ago. Also It’s always good to get your parents to help if they ofer help
I'm getting bank statement from Cyber Credible now thanks for sharing this information❤
ОтветитьThanks Cyber always
ОтветитьI got my bank statement and paystub for my apartment showing 3x the rent and it was easy when I followed the comment and got to Cyber Credible
ОтветитьIm planing to move out of my parents hose I 3 years time I knw it's far but I m using ur video to educate myself and prepare myself on how much I should start saving already to have my dream house ❤❤
ОтветитьI’m 14 and watching this knowing I won’t be moving in 4 years . It’s just relaxing.
ОтветитьI'm looking to buy my first house soon and here's something I would point out that I've noticed. There are so many small kitchen appliances out now it's ridiculous. I don't mean common ones like toasters, coffee makers, and blenders, I mean wired ones that make certain foods. Here are some: egg poachers and boilers, omlette makers, popcorn makers, quesadilla makers, hot dog toasters, and soda makers. Please don't look at all these things oh cool because you will wind up with whole bunch of machines in your kitchen taking space that you never use.
Ответить$20 for 6 glasses is literally nothing girl you're doing good
ОтветитьWhen I watched this video for a friend I was looking for something she could identify with rather than listen to me drone on with my details and notes to her. She is more visual anyway with this sort of thing along with being better with someone speaking. I pre-screened several vids just to see if they had a basic connect for her and content. This one seemed great, but the only critical thing about it is how high end the apartment itself is without regard to what's put into it. I have definitely lived in worse places. Depending on where this is I would think rent would be at least $1500 alone without utilities. That's the first thing I look at, and budget for. Having every single thing or most things doesn't need to happen beforehand because you'd have to store it somewhere-and move it. I needed a way to sleep, and something to sit on which is real sparse. I needed basic kitchen items, and of course a tv and computer. Guys are very different. lol
ОтветитьLoves to cook but doesn’t know what a whisk is called
ОтветитьMy husband has lived with a dorm mate, some roommates, and his mom and that's it. I've only lived with my parents and visited him for a few weeks. We've never had our own places though, never had to buy a lot of furniture or kitchen or cleaning stuff. In a few weeks once he graduates we're moving into our first house together! We got a lot of items for our wedding, mostly for our kitchen thankfully, and a LOT of cash to get things for ourselves. I'm pretty glad I didn't move out before getting married now bc I don't think my dad's coworker would've given me 50$ for cookie sheets or Aunt Amy would have given me 500$ for a couch. I'm so, so proud of anyone that fully furnishes their first home themselves because I cannot imagine it.
ОтветитьNever been on my own before and I’m doing this. Also going around my parents home taking note of all the household items we have and getting them beforehand so it feels like I have everything I need
ОтветитьThis is mainly directed to the other people reading this. Please save your money. Used furniture (it will be beat up your gonna be moving anyways you will not live in one place forever), bargain stores(some mentioned above) for basics (pots/pans, dishes, plastics), do not cheap out on appliances/cutlery these will last you lifetime if you buy good quality products (knife sets, silverware), as for other new products: electronics, toiletries (towels/washcloths), bedding, small cheap decor items(lamps, pictures/paintings, vases, rugs) are great ways to add your personality. Save for your future.
ОтветитьMe and my friend are planning on moving out around June and can't wait, I felt like I was over thinking a list when I mentioned it to her and we put so much on it thinking we forgot something but this does make a ton of sense. It also takes off a lot of the weight off my shoulders, since we both will be buying practically double of mostly everything for each room. I just think im going to over do it but this helps so much and it makes things clearer.
ОтветитьI love Target!❤️❤️😩
ОтветитьDo you think you can send me your list? I am moving out for the first time, and I am kind of freaking out, and I just don’t know where to start.
ОтветитьThis is stupid to a lot of people but what I'm doing for Christmas is I'm asking for things I would need for an apartment and it is all going into some kind of storage system (probably just boxes that are labeled) so that way when I moved out I have a lot of things for said apartment. Literally on my Christmas list is a kitchen set. So pots, pans, plates, bowls, silverware, ect.
ОтветитьHow were you able to float your TV without any of the cords exposed? Very curious
ОтветитьDrinking challenge: Take a shot every time she says cute
ОтветитьThank you very much for these videos. They’ve been helping me a lot to plan my first apartment.
Ответитьi love how honest you are about the prices
ОтветитьGood tips but stop saying cute every two seconds
ОтветитьI suggest shopping at amazon to find better deals than target.
ОтветитьHi Sophia ! I ABSOLUTELY love watching your videos ! My boyfriend and I are currently searching to rent our very first apartment. And I am obsessing over what our interior decor and must haves i will need for my apartment. I need to start with the basics first! I learned in one of your videos not to get ahead of yourself and assume you’ll have your apartment fully furnished and ready to go within a month. And that was so helpful already because I’m so eager to get everything done. But I need to slow down! AHH just too excited 🤩😍😊. Anyways I’m still working through watching more videos and saving all of them for when I need to buy anything ! ALSO love your style, so simple and clean and CUTE! Giving me the best ideas. Keep up the videos please ! Love you 💕
ОтветитьAlso a lot of people don’t think to get tools kits and light bulbs I haven’t moved yet but actually in the process and low key I’ve just been buying some stuff if I see it on sale like Walmart had a whole bathroom set for $15 shower curtain and rugs and the hooks and more and it was really cute stuff but I definitely went to SHEIN Walmart tj max and dollar tree and five below tj max I go and find the clearance spot but other than that not really
ОтветитьI got all of my dishes and Kitchen supplies from the dollar tree ! I don’t move out until November and it’s mid September I’m scared I’m shopping to soon
ОтветитьI plan on moving in January 2022 so I’ll definitely be taking your advice and start stocking up early
ОтветитьOooooo Your checklist is basically everything I've gotten :3 but my theme is black 🖤🐈⬛ I've been going to Home Goods, target (hardly anything tho) and Walmart for bathroom decor. For the smallest things that don't have to be good quality, dollar tree. I feel like sometimes you do have to spend a little more especially on cookware because if you you get something cheap, can end up being poor quality and then you have to spend all over again.
ОтветитьA list I didn’t know I needed. Thank you!
ОтветитьEh it's all preference.
I just want my own place that I can have people over and also being able to save money. I feel like I'm paying for freedom.
I can’t wait 😛 I’m 37 moving out with my love. I been with her for 11 years
ОтветитьThanks for putting this together
ОтветитьYou a god for this checklist
