Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 NEW Things Discovered By Fans

I’ve been playing this game for the first time on the ROG Ally for the past two weeks. As someone who remembers how impressive it was to have God of War on the PSP, it’s absolutely mind blowing that I’m able to play a game this expansive on a handheld, and run it well.

I’ve always considered myself a pretty casual gamer. I like story based single player games, and get bored with massive open worlds easily. The world of RDR2, however, has completely sucked me in. Even though the story is amazing, I constantly get distracted by the things happening in the world. That has never happened to me with other “all time great” open world games like The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Grand Theft Auto 5, or even Breath of the Wild.

This game is truly special and even after playing about 40 hours and completing 25% of it, I can’t see myself getting tired of it any time soon.

I just started playing a few days ago (i also tried to start a couple of times but alsways thought that it was going to slow and thank god I got through the first chapter cause now I cant stop anymore) and it is probably the best game i have ever played

Catfish looks like it was only rendered to show dead/blown up maybe? Leads me to think you can only get it using dynamite or something?....which would make complete sense for quite a few reasons.... probably not possible to get a fish that size with that little fishing pole for one thing, and people used to fish with dynamite all the time lol. Or maybe using poison, oleander sage, and/or whatever was used in that polluted water mission🤷...I haven't tried anything but seems to me there would be many other ways besides a fishing pole to get it...or maybe even throwing your lasso into the water and dragging it out🤷. Just trying to think why it would be shaped like that...

I think you can find more clues for the prinses in the newspaper I was reading the no 45 news paper up in rhodes and there is a description of the missing prinses I don’t know if it can help some players I didn’t read the article good enough to know if there are clues but maybe it will help

The stump may also be an example of a devil's barber chair. The tree starts coming down before the logger has finished cutting it and splits like that as it falls. The split may cause the bottom end of the log to swing back into the logger's head, hence the name.

Theres actually 2 female fertility statues, the one that everybody knows about, and in chapter 2 if your riding through the Cumberland forest after you do the Kieran mission, youll see a regular NPC camp spawn (not an enemy camp), the guy shot at me for killing a deer near his camp, i viscously murdered him and looted the camp and found a 2nd female fertility statue (you'll have to be lucky for it to spawn tho as i've beaten the main campaign over 20 times and I've never seen this until now).

Well, to mention the tree. Well, the crazy theories sound more realistic. While it is true that they did this for the winter, they did this with a saw. It has two handles, and usually, two men purch themselves on the tree, and they go back and forth with the saw. The reason they didn't use axes is that not only would that be dangerous, but it would also take all day to just finish a few. You really don't have that kind of leverage when perched on a tree to swing something like that as it's normally done with you having a sling on your waist that is attached to the tree along with spiked boots. So you would attach yourself to the tree, then place the saw at about just above the waist level close to the chest, and you and someone else would start sawing. Plus, if this was done with an axe, it was an amateur at best. What I mean is with an axe, you start low with a chop, then you a little higher until you create this wedge, it's why you angel your axe. But those are definitely cut marks. Whoever did this was very large, and it looks like they poorly attempted to mimic that method. Normally, those cut marks would be very clean it's how you can tell a professional did it. You wouldn't have all these cuts into it like that. If I remember the story correctly, Paul Bunion, I think that's how it's spelled is a giant who is a professional lumber jack. That would be a pretty amateur mistake for someone who supposedly does it for a living. I don't remember the story mentioning that he sucked at his job. So we can say that it wasn't normal sized people as it wasn't sawed in half and it wasn't Paul bunion. Do with that info as you will, but that clearly wasn't them. Heck, even the picture they showed for reference was sawed off, not chopped off.

I actually found a deer eating another deer in the game and thought it was a glitch but instead it’s something deer actually do if they don’t have anything else to eat and another animal or deer is dead then they will eat the animal.

As far as the giant cutting down the tree and the giant bones you can find I’m more inclined to think that the tall tree stump is related to the giant bones because of you go back and look through old newspaper articles around the time of when the game took place (in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s) you can find that giant humanoid bones being dug up was a regular occurrence. President Lincoln even addressed in it one of his campaign speeches. It’s hardly a conspiracy theory lol
