Candela Obscura: Needle & Thread | Episode 3 | Broken Path

MY take aways from this:

1) Spenser needs to have his own weekly show, if critical role ever decides to make candela a permanent second weekly show obviously matt doesnt have the bandwith for that, just saying!
2) brennan is a mad lad!
3) Spenser never said in the epilog about allision, aunti bea implied she might still be alive but ...................... that being left unresolved upset me watching it live!

Man, so damn grateful that Spencer had everybody recap what had happened. I couldn’t remember shit and then Luis started talking and everything started clicking and by the time the recap was done… I was right back in the zone.

What happened to campaign 3?

Such a good episode. So much effort and work and it all feels like it paid off great.

Brennan is a menace and I love him for it 😂

Five bucks says Brennen was kinda working through some emotions and kudos to Spenser for giving him a space to work that out...

Brennan was catastrophically good in this. It might have been his best performance, ever.

I know Actual Play performance does not automatically translate into stage/film acting but I’ve always, always, always dreamt of seeing Brennan in a serious scripted production.

Spoilers: I was so afraid of a tpk at the end of this "season", and I thought that a narratively satisfying – if tragic - ending for me would have been that Marion dies and Sean turns evil / betrays Candela over it. And Im shocked that I wasn’t that far off? Although it is a shame that Sean did die, it would have been awesome if he had coned back for next season as a villain as an NPC.

I just knew Brennan would pull through with his comic relief character to brighten the mood of this dark setting one more time.
Gotta love the guy, as a DM for Calamity, a player for Candela Obscura, all variety of stuff outside of it, he's hilarious, clever, devious, pure evil, seriously messed up and just a great guy in general.

Just Amazing. Candela Obscura would make an amazing adult gothic horror cartoon. I hope we get a 4 Sided Dive episode or two for it as well.

Well after getting over the exhaustion and nausea of that ending I think its a resounding "Thanks, I hate it" from me.
This kind of setting is definitely not for everyone and imo its just too bleak and hopeless to function.

Brennan is a total delight this episode

most captivating storytelling/gming/descriptions for spenser
costuming, makeup, set design, and work on the video, as well
tons of moments that could be nominated a la "best kiss" kind of thing in other popular vote awards--but instead it's like "most touching PC interaction" or "most fucked up npc" and shit like that
best everything, i literally can't get over this.

and it just goes to show the nearly limitless possibilities within this game system. it's INCREDIBLE--i need to convince my friends to play asap, it's unbelievable.
just absolutely MINDBLOWING gming by spenser, and everyone was 500000000% in on this game. unbeatable. that feeling when you cry a good few times throughout but you actually are so rocked by how incredible the whole episode/show is, and the hits just keep coming, that you stare into space to Process the whole thing for like an HOUR after it ends. askdjfalsdkjf laskjflasdkjflasdjkf best thing i've ever witnessed, hands down.

these 3 episodes have done such a good job of feeling like the last season of a long running show. I feel like ive been waiting to get here for years. Fucking Astounding.
