i5-9600KF vs i5-10600K vs i7-8700K vs i7-9700K - OC 5GHz - Test in 10 Games 1080p and 1440p

Looks like games alike metro exodus doesn't use HT as usage is all similar between 10600k 8700k 9700k cpus yet GPU usage is few % higher on i7 9700k thanks to 2 addictional cores anyways all of these cpus are sufficient in gaming for quite while

Shadow of the tomb raider is a good game but not as good as rise or the first one

All of them are slightly modified skylakes so expect similar performance on all 6th-10th gen cores when clocked the same

At 5ghz the 9600k is better than 10600k because u get 20w leas with it

Honestly i think i7 8700k is the best here, lowest cpu usage but keeping a high and stable fps.

what does kf mean?

strange that the average fps in valorant for the 9600k is lower than the rest but the D3D11 fps is around the same, nonetheless, fantastic video!

Hi i want to upgrade my cpu and i want to buy an I5 10600kf [But i only have money to get a B460 or a H470 motherboard] OR i can buy a I7 9700kf at same price with a Z390 board what should i choose?

Is multithreading reall worth it? I'm just a casual user and I'll just play 2 or 3 current games and study, I'm not rendering any videos or streaming anything

Have a 9600KF @ 5.1 GHz (stable at 5.2 GHz, but rather not melt it). Also have a 10600K @ 5.0GHz...gaming performance is statistically the same but if you try to do anything else while playing a CPU intensive game, it can grind to a halt. 10600k fixes that problem with the HT of course...only issue is you need a whole new board...if you have a Z370/Z390, an upgrade to 9900K for $320 (11/27) would be my choice...

The 9600 and 9700k may look like they hold up well and so far they do. However, look at how much higher the CPU utilization is because the lack of hyperthreading. And because of that they wont age well at all. Intel made a dumb decision when they excluded hyperthreading just because they were worried about it affecting sales of their higher end parts.

When I am overclocking mine i5-9600KF to 5GHz msi afterburner displays 4995MHz. Is it normal? Do I need to change something in BIOS to get 5000MHz instead of 4995? Or msi afterburner is displaying 4995MHz but it's 5GHz anyways? Btw my MOBO is MSI Z390-A PRO
