I remember this scene, it was heartbreaking. You just knew that the gang was falling apart and you knew that it was only a matter of time before everything was gone. This game hits different.

If rdr2's story came first in the game series Javier could be written as a side protogonist who sided with Arthur and John at the end...
The sequel was made first ( rdr1) so they had to make sense in the rdr2 story inorder for the story to connect with rdr1's story... which may lead them to portray Javier slowly turning into a wicked one...

Javier is a prick in Chapter 6

This camp, it was like Arthur was the only reason Dutch and the rest didn’t slaughter those who apposed them. Throw away the weak and keep the strong. It was like Arthur was the muscle. Yes he was the muscle for Dutch but as his insanity took him more, Arthur became the muscle for those who were decent and didn’t want to be on the wrong side, Arthur was their leader and the one keeping them safe, John had to learn to be the one to keep them safe, Arthur tried to teach him to stay away from any of them once he gets away. John didn’t listen. Arthur truly was the best of them

I don’t know why everyone thinks Javier is completely different in each game, to me he’s the same in each one.

I still wouldn’t say Javier is a creep. Maybe a growing bit of a bully towards those who doubt Dutch, but in general, just clinging onto the only way of survival he knows.

What pissed me off with Javier at the end, motherfcker really had the audacity to say arthur was only in the gang for money when arthur had been in the gang far more time than he had.

Wish Javier would’ve sided with Arthur instead of Dutch.

I like how R* made Javier a far more likeable than in RDR1 but since we don't hear anything about Javier in the epilogue (other than he was spotted in Mexico) then it's just so many things left under answered. We all saw Dutch go insane during chapter 6 and saw Bill become aggressive for no reason, but Javier went from being a loyal and caring man to a r*pist murderer
