As with every single musical artist since The Beatles, there is a SMALL % of fans that could be considered "rabid" (your term, not mine). The larger portion of ARMY don't make a show of supporting our group except in buying/streaming, buying merch, and taking part in charity works.

By your standards, would you apply the same derogatory term to a football fan who paints their entire body their team colors, plays fantasy football, and collects memorabilia? No, you wouldn't because that tends to be male-dominated whereas being a Kpop stan trends towards being female dominated. Using the term "rabid" implies female fans are incapable of controlling themselves where their group is concerned. Mr Reporter, your misogyny is showing.
