Turns out that the Xenomorph can attack you before you even get to the tram. That lobby/lounge/restaurant area being patrolled by the Working Joes just before the tram? Yeah, that's where I panicked hard enough that the alien jumped me.

Can fix all this by playing the game in a superior platform like a console. Also it’s hilarious that in 2023 OC players are still talking about frame rates like anything above 30fps is important even though that was debunked over a decade ago. Also this game is old so why the hell waste time “reviewing” it now.

Nobody ever talks about the rela feat of such game developers; how they are able to manage finance to succesfully bring out a game. I was self employed for a while and know a few things about finances but game design companys and their finances is like magic to me. Unless you´re some American pampered political correct LGBTQ propaganda outlet. Then it´s clear how they still can be in business. ;)

A:I is a real love letter to ALIEN and was needed after the CM debacle, yeah while it isn't a perfect game from a neutral standpoint, but for a real fan, it hits perfect the tone and worldbuilding of the orginal ALIEN and for that... I love it and what the devs behind it, had created. I also love how they ignored the Promethshit and Engineers bullshit when it comes to the Space Jockey (different to Shitfork's Gaybox game CM, where they messed up the whole Dereclict's interior with the Juggernaut's design) and stayed closer to the more organic H.R. Giger's biomechanicle stuff, the real head behind the alien and SJ design.
It's realy sad, that the A:I devs aren't part of CA anymore and that we presumably never get a real sequel.

Some fun fact, Amanda Riplay was firstly mentioned in ALIENS, but for the theatrical release, this one specific scene for her later motivations was cut, but luckely reused in the Director's Cut. Sigurney Weaver was upset from this decision, because it was importend tuo understand her character development.
To portraiing her, they used a photo of Sigurney Weaver's mom (because in ALIENS, Ripley was allready floating fore 57 years in hybersleep through the space and Amanda in the meantime died in the age of 66). So for the model of the younger her, the game devs also used photos from Weaver's Mother.

I hid so often from the Alien it was getting annoying. It just knew where I was, all the time and kept coming into the room where I was hiding. I would hide for around 5-10 minutes at a time due to its A.I. Brilliant game, though, very atmospheric.

This game was already very very scary without the headphones so as soon as I got the proper gaming headphones things it just got terrifying for this game,because I've got hypersensitive hearing I could hear many sounds that many would consider very very hard to hear but as soon as I got the proper gaming headphones that's when all sounds became much louder,and much closer as well especially where the aliens are concerned, seriously the steps of the xenomorth were already pretty loud before I had the headphones but now that I use them they're very very loud even if the xenomorth is far away and only walking,almost every sound I hear sends shivers down my spine coz it's crystal clear and feels closer than it actually seems

My first time playing this game was such a treat. I've never played a better horror game. Pretty sad they dropped the ball on any sort of sequel.

Beat it on nightmare mode on first playthrough. There were times where I thought I fked myself and absolutely could not progress (because of enemies and that damned alien) but where there is a will there is a way. One of the best flamethrowers in a game and walking around LV426 was the highlight. It's not a game, it's an experience.

the first time i played this game i did'nt finish it, it gave me severe ptsd so that when i see anything about it i have a panic attack and it probably contributed to my anxiety.

I runned this game with an core 2 Quad CPU, an Asus GTS 450 GPU and 8 GB DDR2 @ 1080p with custom graphics settings. The game looked and runned great 👍👍👍 One of my all-time favorite games.

Why is MandaloreGaming's gamma set so low? Might as well not have any lights at all if they are that weak.

This game came out nine years ago and it looks brand new visuals wise (except the human models)

For me alien without alien 3 is not alien. Stealth attack from ceiling is from alien 3.

I really felt like after the introduction of the hive, they really should have made it possible to kill the aliens. Because there could still be another one...

The fact that this game is almost 10 years old hurts my brain.

I really like alien isolation, I always get scared silly when playing it, weirdly though I never experienced any glitches or bugs in my game. also I personally believe that a xenomorph queen is on Sevastopol but the player never runs into her, the reason why I believe this is because the egg morphing wouldn't have happened so quickly in the second hive and they did consider a boss fight against her but cut it because it would break the horror element.
