I want the Sony Ericsson X10 mini size but modern. I don't need those glorified ipads.

The iPhone 13 mini is the only small phone that gets my nod, but it's iOS, and I left that land back in 2012 along with my old iPhone 4, in favour of Samsung's Note 2. since then, I've been using Android. But I'm now getting fed up with tablet sized phones bending in my pocket, or in some cases, bursting my trousers along the seams - I'm looking at you, Google Pixel 6. While my previous Nokia X20 still works and serves as a mini tablet, it was kinda funny to fit the protective screen glass last month, when it sat on at the top and bottom, but bridged the display in the middle. Yep, a bent phone. So where are the mini android phones in 2023? The Unihertz Jelly 2 looks to be the best sub 5.5 inch phone, but then I'd say it's going a bit too extreme, with a 3 inch screen - something from the days of the iPhone 2 days.

Hello! I need some help to choose a phone. My budget is about 900$. The pixel 7 pro or the s23 ultra perfectly fits in the budget but they’re too big for me. I would’ve taken the iPhone 14 pro if I could find a new one fitting my budget but the ones that do are used. My other choices are s23 and the pixel 7. Could you help me get a good phone? (I take a lot of photos and videos and do a bit of light gaming)

i have xiaomi 13 and even though this doesn't have the best camera, this is overall the best phone I've ever had! small phone but the battery is the best! also, 50 watts wireless charging, 67 watts wires, at 4500 mah, 120 hz, snapdragon 8gen2, at 6.3", my God! the perfect phone!

Wth, I have the Pixel 7 and it's already too large, are you serious? I'm looking for iPhone SE (2nd gen) form factors and you come with the Pixel 7? ahaha. I also tried the Pixel 6a and it's even clunkier. Zenfone is a good one, but it has only 2 years of software support and is too expensive for that. "Motorola edge30 neo" seem to be not a bad pick, it's really small, but how long will software support be?

lol calling the Pixel 7 compact is like calling James Corden a nice, fit and funny guy. I just bought the 7 pro and it's un usable to me, too huge, too heavy and annoying unlocking user interface. My very very old Huawei P10 is so much easier to use, small and 80grams lighter. I just can't deal with this trend of massive bricks that they call phones these days. I'd throw the pixel 7 at a wall but it cost an arm and a leg so just gotta sell it. Shit phone :D. They don't make them like they used to.

5.2 to 5.5 inches was perfect. These big screens aren’t ergonomic at all and I have big hands. They just want us hooked to these pocket billboards. I’m happy with my SE cos I barely use it

For me 5.8 to 6.1 inches is the perfect balance of compact and a big enough displays

As someone that owned a pixel 7 and sold it for an iPhone 13, I don’t agree with it being compact at all. One of the reasons I got rid of it was because it was a beast! Broke so many pairs of earphones in my pocket because it was that big. Not a chance you can use it one handed

Thanks to your vids, been using the ASUS zenfone 9 for 6mos now. Absolutelt love it. The only thing that's pretty annoying is the volume buttons & lock / fingerprint sensor placement. Because of the small size, it's hard to mount the phone on any holder / clamp. Other than that, absolutely loving the stock android OS as a minimalist.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact. Yes, it is an old phone from 2018 but, still... you can buy brand new phones.
I have 3 of these phones, running eOS (which I've installed myself), which is basically Android without intrusive spy software by Google.

I remember the times when 7 inches considered tablet. And now 6.x inch is compact smartphone 😁

At home I use a 5.3 inch phone for all my web browsing etc. I can't stand big phones.

So basically there are no compact phones anymore, just flip phones. I would still be using my samsung s5 active if it werent for the pre historic android system available for it prohibiting support for most apps. 5.1" screen, water and shock resistant, headphone socket, changeable battery, amoled display, SD card port and everything needed to use as a navigator. If anyone knows of anything similar available today please let me know.
