HOW are you 1: able to have a phone it’s usually not allowed. 2: you’re not that psychotic if you’re capable of making & uploading videos. Man people will do anything to make videos

Sorry, but you look like such an extraordinarily young beautiful eloquent smart American woman with a good husband.

I think that the US health system feeds mental health issues by issuing heavy prescription drugs that sooner or later can produce the effects that are suppose to control. Instead of starting with cognitive behavioral therapy/PSTD management skills/group therapy/creative/pet therapy/spiritual therapy/grounding/vitamins/joirnaling/hypnosis/deep breathing techniques/dancing/hobbies/music therapy/sauna/schedule/self hypnosis techniques/....hot sauna/cold bath therapy (like Wolf therapy)/anti-inflammatory diet.

Bit If you ever want to go off those meds you really need to do it very very slowly with proper help and support.

I cannot believe they allowed a phone with a camera, in a psych ward, actually, anywhere like an inpatient behavioral health setting, I thought HIPPA laws were Federal?

I can relate. Over time i have realized that medication Handel's maybe 50%. Behavioral modifications along with good healthy choices, therepy, bring it up to 100%. I hope you are doing well, or at the very least better. I wish you and acceptable level of inner peace and contentment.

Once a mental disorder than always remains the same they never recover and end up being worst and die eventually sad but true because there is no specific medication for mental illness so just live your life positively as much as you can and stay close to loved ones that care for you

Two things about some psych wards: they aren't really safe, and they'll keep you if you say you aren't safe. Real Catch-22. Stay in front of the security cameras if possible.

I had a couple of those 72 hour holds after my brother unexpectedly died in 2013 and all they did was keep us doped up and we had to wear paper onesies the whole time(not very helpful) oh and the food was on par with the slop you receive in the drunk tank at any local correction facility. I wish you luck and a fast recovery🎈

You are so inspiring and amazing! I have rarely seen someone work so hard to be proactive and fight to have control over their illness! I'm sitting here in tears because you are so strong and courageous to not allow your illness control you. I am a Registered Nurse. I suffer from life long major depression, anxiety and PTSD as well as systemic lupus. You are truly inspiring and I am so grateful that I came across your channel! ❤

I stayed in a psych ward when I was 15. get up at the buttcrack of dawn no matter how exhausted, go to the dining hall where you have to take 1 item from every category (eggs, meat, veg, carb, fruit, milk, juice) and then force feed yourself while counselor watches every bite you take & documents. on to group where you talk more & more & more about who is labeled what and how fucked up your family is blah blah. day room to sit on hard plastic chairs and watch counselor approved news channels. outside activity, run laps or do whatever else they make you do. lunch, group, day room. dinner, group, day room. bed. wish I was dead.

I live in a beautiful country town in Australia. About 2 years ago I had serious depression as a result of being lowered on my pain medication and felt so terrible inside. Luckily, my gp has visiting rights at our wonderful local hospital, so she popped me in there for a week, just a regular hospital, and I’m so glad that I didn’t have to go to,our psych unit at a bigger hospital. The nurses were wonderful, and as I have some serious health issues, I got to have a rest. My dr also referred me to a wonderful psychiatrist, who wrote to our health department insisting that my medication be returned to the original dose, which they agreed to. I am grateful for the help that I have had, and also my wonderful family. I remember looking out over the car park and being envious of people who felt normal, when I felt so hopeless. My best wishes to you, and thank you for posting this ❤️

You poor thing, but you do realize there are people that are out to get you and a good reason you feel that is not because you already had that specific delusion but it’s because phycopaths like menta hospitals. And phycopaths can be abusive and narcissistic. Making you probably feel a bit crazy.
