I’m so happy I stopped watching after season 3 cause what the actual fuck is this dumpster show

I've never seen someone get permenantly erased from history so many times.

I can shorten this even further:

Every season follows the same exact recipe just different variables changed.

The “fastest man alive” isn’t actually the fastest man alive or just isn’t fast enough to beat the new big bad.

They struggle for 20 episodes with half-baked science that probably would never work in real life so they resort to “quantum” or some dumb time-space explanation that was drafted by a 2.0 GPA high school freshman.

Included in the season is a bunch of really bad character development and dumb romances that go nowhere but to further the extreme cliche “love conquers all” theme.

The big bad of the season is probably not the only one and there are like 7 stories going on at once that you’re expected to keep up with all of them, and you’re damned if you don’t, even though you don’t have to because they’re so useless and just there to increase runtime and audience suffering. But actually you do need to remember all the smaller stories because they’re briefly mentioned later to fill a plot hole that the writer’s clearly didn’t put any thought into, so they just quote something and shove it under the rug. And all of the stories are incoherent messes with 0 thought put into 95% of them, and no sense of pacing whatsoever. So damned if you pay attention, damned if you don’t.

Finally, in the final 2-4 episodes, the big bad is either defeated quickly after Iris or Wells says “Run Barry Run,” and suddenly he’s more powerful than the big bad, even though he’s been horribly loosing the entire season. And regardless of how much the big bad planned and how powerful they are, they’re gonna get defeated, easily. Then Reverse-Flash returns to go “I’m faster nerd, screw you.” And Barry responds with “No U.” And reverse flash supposedly dies permanently, but we all know he’ll be back next season to more dumb writing and half-baked science that makes no sense because the writers can’t get their shit together. Or the big bad is defeated slowly and Reverse Flash is needed to help in some way, then betrays Flash at the end only to have the same exact shit happen. So really, there isn’t a difference in every finale.

Then Barry and Iris kiss; everyone is happy, and they celebrate, and Barry is finally powerful enough. Until the next season where they do THE EXACT SAME THING.

The early seasons had multiple exceptions to this rule and the writer’s actually did a good job, but near the half way point, they just gave up and just speedran their writing and thought processes to make a quick buck. It’s a disgrace and is why the superhero genre popularity is fading faster than my father’s love for me. Stan Lee would be very disappointed.

I'm glad they just hand out superpowers like they hand out cups of water at a marathon. You get flash speed you get flash speed you get more powerful flash speed but don't worry cuz there's always some bigger better more convoluted enemy that has better powers. Might as well blow up another particle accelerator and give a few more people some flash powers cuz of course we need a female flash don't want to be sexist. But then of course the black kid felt left out because that's racist to not have a black flash so we'll just go ahead and hand him some powers too. Kill a flash make a flash send a flash to the future make another flash send a flash to the past make another flash. Wow absolutely garbage

Stop watching right before crisis end battle hap and oh man what the hell hap to this show. Dont get me wrong it peaked 1-3 and started going down BUT it still had some clear good plot line but man 6 and after just seems like one hot mess

Personally I hate season 6. It’s just so bad. Luckily though, season 7 was much better and season 8 was really good.

I'm sure you put effort and work into this but no one needs a recap before or if they lack brain cells to have watched this show beyond 3 eps in season 1.
