Great video! I have one question though? Will it show the aftermarket reverse camera if you have it on CIC mode, not android?

I looked in the description and the link fir the bmw CCC is no longer avtive. Do you know if this is the same unit sold buy Euro Style Tuning? Im ready to purchase just do my do diligence.

After installation of the CarPlay kit my BMW X3 NBT - HUD and vehicle information status no longer display. They are just zero out and the CarPlay kits works great just no digital speedometer or gas consumption information....thoughts on this as i followed the installation without issue

I have installed Carplay Navigatie to my BMW F11 and has issues to connect wireless via carplay from unit. Did you experienced that?

Great video, I have a very serious issue if anyone coud help. Was working fine for a couple hours then all of a sudden the driver side speaker started hissing loudly and not playing music. Anyone help with this? Also when on a phone call people can hear me but I canot hear them.

I have used both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The latter works flawlessly, integrated like an OEM. CarPlay on the over hand not so good. I have had complains about echo during calls and never managed to get iPhone to release the Audio to the Car BT regardless of “using Car’s BT Phone” set to On. When a call comes in I can see the iPhone automatically switch BT to Carplay. Did you resolve this issue ?

Hi there. I can't take incoming calls with a bmw idrive joystick. But I do make outgoing calls with idrive joystick. Please help cos I always have to press on the phone when receiving an incoming call

I belive you may use the original mic for the nbt models, but need to use the unit's mic for CCC and CIC. Is that right?

Does it rotate/auto sense between using Android auto and Apple car play well or does it have to be reconfigured every time you change from apple to android phone? Did not see any split screen. Ie phone call or radio controls at same time as navigation going. And phone calls leave the mmi and thus you cannot use GPS and phone at same time which is useless if on trip. The unit someplace put in cannot do this and looki to have it ripped out if this one does that. Thanks!

Now I’m looking for a CarPlay module that supports heads up display and radio among other features simultaneously on my X5 2014 NBT_M.

Hi, great video, both. I still have a question which I do not see anywhere. I only had experience with CarPlay on touch screen. I do see how the steering or iDrive wheel to go between selections.I think that works well and safer for most uses. But for the few times you need to type text, ie. destination for Maps, how does that work? Is there a pop up keyboard that you can select characters? I am leaning towards some models with screen replacements. I also wonder if the wheel still works when I have a touch screen. I don't think you know that answer, it depends on the model. Also, can't believe how many models there are out there, MMI and screen replacement with and without Andriod, just CarPlay and Android Auto.

Mine is arriving today. 2015 M5 :-) so I don't need to connect the auxiliary wire?

Be aware, NBT is not just from 2014 and onwards.
I have one of the late 2013 Pre LCI F11 and i have already NBT.
