Pathfinder Wrath of the righteous How to pick a starting class Tutorial

I'm amazed this game turned out as well as it apparently did according to you, considering the fact that Pathfinder as a pen and paper RPG franchise is being hijacked by insidious leftoids.

Thankfully you can respec your character though I can't remember if you can completely change your class. Last time I went to respec it was only to modify my current build.

I went cavalier standard bearer. For the love of all that is holy that was a mistake. Riding around on a horse with a lance is fun until you get to the demons that have 70 - 80 AC. The Endgame was a mix of easy fights and nearly unbearable wars of attrition with my main character acting as a decorative piece on the battlefield.

I tried it, I really want to like this game, as I wanted to like Kingmaker, but good god there is so much combat, and it's an absolute slog. The fucking Shield Maze was a ridiculous 2 hour long crawl, and I'm pretty sure I skipped most of it. I haven't played many CRPGs, but I dont think you're supposed to have so many combat encounters in a single session (i treated the Shield Maze like a single TTRPG session, as there was no logical stopping point there), especially if the combat system makes even your fighters take so much damage. I gave up after the boss fight when I realised that the slogfest is gonna keep going and there is no break for puzzles or conversation in sight.

Contrary to Vee's slightly neurotic remarks, nothing bad happens if you have duplicated classes. The thing that you do want to do is to have someone to do the following: 1) high trickery to disarm traps and open doors, 2) consistent high physical damage, 3) divine caster to dispel debuffs. After that you can fill your party with anime girls.

Thanks Vee for alerting me to the important fact that here is a game I can play as a underage Person of Color elf-kin who has the amazing super power of empathy. My only regret is my own lack of viewer's remorse after hearing about this.

I hate game mechanics that require PhD to do well off the start. These types of games become character creation games and you rarely go past the first 1/3 of the scenario with 1 character

Already a $20 digital DLC and the game costs $50 for digital. Also a $40 season pass lol. For digital by the way.
They need to reduce those prices first. And should develop the game fully before releasing it. Then sell the entire game for one honest price.
DLCs and everything are just a huge headache for mods.
What's the point of supporting a game that is $100? How are people supposed to game when they are working three jobs to pay for the cost of gaming? $100 for digital is insane. You don't even own the game, Steam does.
Gaming is supposed to be an affordable hobby for all. When the cost of food and gas is skyrocketing I doubt people are going to be able to max out more credit cards to keep up with the selfish gaming industry prices. Then they will complain about piracy of their digital only product which has zero retail value.
It is insane how a big budget film on Blu Ray is 1/5 the price of this one digital only game. Or books, manga, and comics in physical form.
Oh yeah, and the season pass which means more paid DLC to come. And you know the season pass will not include all the DLCs because it's a scam marketing trick. Buys season pass to baseball team. Only valid for 5 games of the 50 game season. Amazing how gaming industry redefines the dictionary like communists/CDC/WHO.
Then if you follow the money there's some publisher CEO making $10 billion a year and this where your paid DLC goes. Not the devs.
Game studios need to cut the corporate bloat, worthless advertising, and sell their games using competitive pricing as a selling point.

Unfortunatly, one of those games. Before you play. First you watch a guide for character creation then several hours tutorial, then study wiki patch for game mechanics and go to university and graduate as scholar of DnD lore.
Now, you can finally play the game. No need to rush, at this point you´re probably in retirement anyways.

In my opinion, this game is as close to Dragon Age Origins a game has gotten in the last few years.

I loved kingmaker but it was too buggy i probably will wait a little.

Great game, shame it's more unplayable than Cyberpunk 2077 at launch so far with some of the bugs I encountered. Plus it seems the balance isn't all there with some encounters being little more than tissue paper fodder and other straight up requiring lady luck you can beat it.

Muwahaha - my months of building classes on NWN2 modded with expanded classes is finally paying off!
I see a lot of familiar stuff there, especially regarding the prestige classes here. I'm assuming multiclassing is still a thing here too right? XD

the arcanist is also a very good choice for both veteran and beginner in the arcane as it combine the best of the wizard and the sorcerer, so you have to memorize spell like a wizard making you versatile in what you want to cast but you cast like a sorcerer making you not waste multiple slot on the same spell like the wizard has to, and with the right arcane exploits you can memorize a new spell to replace one that you had prepare as a full round action and cost one arcanist points, its a very strong arcane caster class, it is very versatile and as easy to use as the sorcerer imo

How exactly is pathfinder related to DnD. Does it just use the same ruleset and have suspiciously similar class mechanics like with the sorcerer? Or is it like a new dragonlance/ravenloft type setting?

Can the tank classes actually protect allies or do you just charge first and hope bad guys target your tank randomly instead of your squishies?

Don't you feel there's a bit too many sjw-ish element? I mean, the lesbian couple in the first act, the Queen, when you get your holding, you get a woman taking care of the garrison. I mean, feel like all important roles are filled by women, and the single man with an important roles, Hulrun, is a total psychopath.

I haven't played it by myself yet, but I've heard, that there is an option in the game, to rebuild your character and change your class and stats

They do have a lot of SJW shit with the character backgrounds but other than that it is a great game.

EDIT: oh and the bugs. CP at release is a polished product compared to this.

I've found Pathfinder rules far more fun than DnD after DnD got to 5th ed and just made everything cookie cutter and simplified to the lowest of normie levels so I might as well give this a try.

I'm loving the game so far, rolled a kitsune Court Poet Skaald for now, can always respec with mods later if needed but I like it so far. I hope they make a race mod like for the first game, I loved playing as a goblin thug/wizard in the first game.
