Slack VS ( yep some people type that. some people are searching for alternatives but are not typing the word alternative they just type VS in google ) basically its all about having empathy for people . People are not perfect they will type of a lot of variation with the same intent. at google they think what is the INTENT of the user when he/she is typing in Google. so that's why they will also search for content and URL that are close to the intent not he exact word
