For me, I find playing ESO by myself very lonely, social interactions are important to me in games such as this, just to talk with other people, and help with stuff in the game if i need it, questing and such.

I am thinking about moving to PC. I've played eso on xbox since 2015, and it feels very empty now on the xbox eu server at least. I want to interact with the eso community, and be a part of a social, active and friendly guild. Trouble is I am very shy.

Tamriel Homes and Gardens is a wonderful guild if you're into housing. People are happy to craft furniture for you if you send them the mats for it, there are contests and tours of houses, and folks don't mind getting together to grind for event rewards together, which makes the time go by way faster. There's a version on every platform as far as I know. Seeing other people's houses gives me so much inspiration, and getting feedback on my own helps me to improve. It's the one guild I've stayed in consistently for years. I love it!

I am a solo casual player but I belong to 3 trading guilds. I am only there to make $$$ and they know it. That being said I offer a chat comment now and then and have had fellow guildies friend me and offer assistance such as vampire bites for my new characters or making me free training gear. This only happens in one of the guilds I belong to. The other 2 pretty much ignore me and I ignore them back. I just use their trader and that's fine. But the Vulcan Commandos are a great bunch! (shameless plug) What can I say, I'm an old trekkie. I couldn't resist.

I definitely was hesitant to join any kind of PVP activities in ESO, including guilds. I think a lot of that derived from being a long time elder scrolls player and feeling like MMO was pushed on me. however, it has been a great experience to play multiplayer with my friends and family, and I chose to join pretty casual trading guilds that are great groups. I would definitely recommend sticking your toe in the pool if you haven't already, and all of the tips in this video are very helpful!

Edit: I never have spoken a word in any of my guilds, so its totally doable. A tip I would add is looking for guilds that are LGBTQ+ friendly and more adult focused. Well not a guarantee, I find these guilds to be a bit more mature, inclusive, and full of chill, welcoming folks.

my biggest issue in most mmos with endgame raiding or pvp is that usually i'm a very laggy player since i live in brazil, so i'm kinda scared to jump into either of those for the most part :/ on swtor i stuck to at best 4 player group stuff, cause 16 player would make me too laggy to be reliable in any mechanic, idk if eso would feel the same.

As a Kiwi on the EU server, my experience with guilds is stunted by the fact that I'm on the exact opposite side of the time zone. There is an AU/NZ guild on EU, but it's pretty dead. Really wish there was a data transfer option, if I could switch over to the NA server without giving up my 1400cp and 7 years of progress, I would in a heartbeat.

I like your video about the guilds I play eso and i respectfully decline from joining guilds because all the ones I have read in chat requires you to pay a weekly guild fee and contribute your hard earn coins to a guild function as well as requires you to participate in their weekly raffle I have seen this on more than one occasion so that is why i rather not participate in any guilds because they are starting to get as greedy as the ones in world of warcraft

90% of the ESO guilds have no requirements at all and are super friendly. I think that those players that are scared of them are intimidating themselves and imagine the fear of guilds in their own heads (despite of bad experience which could happen). On PC NA I haven't seen any elitist guilds to be honest. Some of the trading ones indeed have some funny requirements of 200k sales or 20k weekly donation but that's like 1/4 price of perfect roe which you can get from fishing at level 1. The elitist DPS guilds I skipped those and just learned to solo 4man vet hm dungeons. I think you can do anything in this game if you just WANT to and that's it.

I enjoy being part of a guild, but my issue is that I know I'm only coming back to the game for maybe a month or two, then I'm gonna disappear into other games for the rest of the year, and I don't want to disappoint anyone, so I just avoid joining them.

Just a little feedback if I may, the sound effect you use to beep obscene words is very unpleasant to the ear due to its nature. It's like using graphical artifacts as a transition effect between video clips. Even though I kinda got used to it at this point, I still subconsciously think of a badly connected headphone jack or something when I hear it.

if you want to do vet/trials you rlly need high dps and knowledge, guilds do this sometimes 1 run per week, some guilds have their own premade teams so they never cared about their own guild mates

I've been playing MMO's since Ultima Online and have tried countless guilds and all had been drama fests. Then in 2007, while playing Vanguard: Saga of Heroes I joined a guild that I kept seeing everywhere in the game. The guild is Old Timers Guild. Been a member of OTG since and can't imagine playing any MMO without them. Guild has a minimum age (so no kids) and the slogan is "Laid back, not too serious, no drama...all about the fun!" They do a little of everything from super casual to hardcore raiding with zero pressure (they'll even drag lowbies through a raid and then give them all the loot LOL). Perfect match for my play style. Crazy to think it's been 16 years since I joined them.

I love these vids, they're so relaxing and interesting.ESO is so vast, I'm just enjoying the really well written and acted quests. Quests are my fave, once I'm done with the stories I'll go trials and pop, but I like the idea of those city raids. Anyways, good luck all! 👏🇨🇮

Honestly, some of my best friends were met through guilds in other games (like Wakfu) as well as ESO. Part of the reason I don't join or seek out guilds anymore is this feeling that I've already used up all my luck in finding friends online, and that I'll just be an outsider at best from now on. Guilds I joined in later were fine, but I could never quite open up again. More of a personal block, really.

Eso guilds always end up being garbage.

If guilds where honest, "join our guild, work with us for about 2 years. We will get content done together. Help us grow the guild. Build a role, go make a tank, go make a zens, go make an EC crow. Meanwhile while you go do all that us officers and GM will run trials on the same toons and same roles and pull others from other guilds in our trials but don't you worry. Your spot will be saved when your ready."

Later on... "oh well we aren't in the mood for those trials anymore, we aren't a trial guild anymore. We have a trial roster schedule in discord you can try. What's that? It's always full? Oh well we can't get the trial done in 10 hours, it must be your fault. We will lay here dead and blame you but claim we are carrying you. Isn't being in our guild fun?

I'm one of those players that log in and play alone. The only times when i'm with other people are when i do daily dungeons (no interactions with eachother tho) and when i mess around in Vulkhel Guard (cauz for some reason everyone in this city is freakin weird but in a funny way) but even that lasts a few minutes.

I think a lot of people play ESO solo, because they come from single-player games like Skyrim and Oblivion, like myself. ESO has a lot of solo content and a lot of lore that extends on the lore of the rest of the Elder Scrolls series. I wouldn't consider myself active in the game I play since beta and have the game on ps4 and pc. I believe I am around 1000 cp but don't really remember. I usually buy the new chapter DLC play through it go inactive and wait for the next. Although I do like some multiplayer content from time to time and I am in a trade guild. Another MMO type of game I am actually in a really active guild so it is not like I don't like the social aspect at all.

Maybe also an EU thing but I think it is slightly more difficult to find a guild with like-minded people since there are a lot of people that don't speak English and I usually don't like joining up with people that speak my own language. In my experience Dutch guilds are usually young toxic children or people that are very "conservative" and just refuse to speak another language.

I have a guild I love being in and do a trial or two with them each week, plus trading. I haven't joined more (pvp, etc.) because so many require Discord for every single activity. I'm usually watching tv with my family at night, and don't want to be on Discord all the time. It's easier staying solo for pvp, etc., and just using Discord for the trials.

I'm a guild officer for Fundies in Undies on PC NA. It's a mid tier trading guild and a casual social guild. We used to do some fun content like nude dungeon runs, and hide & seek but these days too many members are either taking long breaks (myself included) or are focused solely on making gold. I really miss the social content.

I'm a mostly solo ESO player but I like being in a guild to be a bit sociable. Or at least watch drama while I farm furnishing plans on 8 alts. I would probably be more active in activities like dungeons and trials if I didn't have concentration and memory issues. Like I'm sorry I forgot that bosses mechanic and wiped the group but sometimes i forget to breath so. I HATED the trading guild system when I first started playing but now I prefer it to regular MMO auction houses. I like that some of them feel more like combined social/trading guilds than just a pure utilitarian trade guild.

I joined a few guilds and hopped onto discord chats. I think I just got really unlucky with all of them because the people I met were either incredibly annoying, toxic, or brain-dead immature (which I'd forgive if they were teens or kids, but they full blown adults with jobs and kids). Now I am a trashbrain myself but this was another level. These were all social guilds too. I haven't given another one a chance since those attempts and that was a couple years ago.
