If Apple doesn't "go" in making folding phones, then its gonna be very very hard to become a Standard. Apple always draws the "path" ;-)

yeah foldable smart telephones are just gimmicks. The only reason they exist is to avoid criticism that "cellphones" are too big now. Initially, decades ago, when people were discussing how mobile telephones would eventually get smaller and smaller, we thought "amazing! We'll eventually have Star Trek combadges...!". And the complete opposite has happened; a degradation in quality. If you want a powerful telephone that has a great camera, can use apps without lag etc, just build your own PC, and get a DSLR camera. Simple. The majority of LOGICAL people want telephones that are tiny and functional - like Star Trek communicators. Now, this garbage can't even fit in our pockets. And unlike me and my Rachmaninoff hands, too many people have tiny cartoon hands that can't hold ridiculous things like this.

Samsung inverted a lot in this and now the vultures come to have a bite. Samsung lost something along the way because of it. Their phones are boring, especially the budget phones. A few weeks ago I switched to a Poco phone and I've been using Samsung since the S2... I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of folding phones and Samsung thinks these are exciting... One plus waited till gen 5 to make one... Smart!

I really want something like the surface phone. They just had to put a screen on the outside for when the shell is closed. I don't need a continuous screen all the way across. I just want more screens that fold out. But it has to have an outer screen that's usable for when I don't want to hold the thing open.

The answer to your question is the easiest. Price. Get that price down.

Dear Marques, you need to review the Oppo Find N3 before making a conclusion about which is the best foldable phone right now.
Try getting a unit to review.

I'll probably ride out my S22 for another 3-4, maybe 5 years. If folding phones have dropped significantly in price and improved in quality by that point I'll be getting one.
