Her not finishing the strudel makes me mad

the cigarette extinguished on the strudel. such a powerful statement to punctuate a dialogue filled scene; that says almost as much about the history and relationship between these two characters as the whole scene itself. this guy tarantino can write. who knew?!?!

Two impeccable actors.

I like how the whole time the officers are talking, their faces are out of view of the camera and you can only hear their voices. Gives you the sense that you as a viewer are also just as inferior as Shoshanna, and even though you can understand what they're saying with the subtitles, you feel just as helpless as she does. This movie is awesome.

‘Glass of milk’ proves he knew who she was

Every time I have strudel I think of this scene. I never forget the cream.

so does Landa know that this is the little girl that escaped the dairy farm? If yes, how come he doesn't order her killed?

He holds her hand for long when he meets her to check her pulse

Such an amazing tension and Waltz is a master. Also her pinned up emotional exhale is epic at the end of the scene.

If it was me, I probably would have pissed my pants as soon as he entered the room!!

Subtle detail: dueing wwii, these strudels were made with pig lard, thus making them not kosher. So, either Landa knew who she was or (and I think this is more likely) he was looking to see if she was Jewish as a Jew would likely refuse to eat the strudel

He ordered for her a glass of milk just like how he did back in the farm💀

ive always loved that moment when she goes from completely smooth and cool to sobbing once he is gone. amazing acting from laurent ❤❤

This film is too genius. I can go on and on about every moment in this film. In this scene the feeling of initial joy from Goebbels’ greeting to the sharp realization that Shoshanna is in one of the most horrifying situations imaginable is so gripping.

I was soiling my pants when he walked in. I wasn't expecting him.

Just noticed he grabbed her wrist like he did to the dairy farmer daughters in the opening scene

Then he brings up cream twice, then he repeats her fake name four times.

Hans Landa is such a great villain. He's a genius, a polyglot, an ace detective. I think he recognizes Shoshanna here. I think he knows the Germans will lose the war. I think he's 5 steps ahead of everyone else and he's angling his escape and betrayal of the Nazis the whole time.
Which makes it all the better that in the end he's bested by a dumb redneck.

Every time i see this kind of clips from this movie, it reminds me how great of film this is, how wonderful the actors did, and of course Quentin, hours he has done such iconic films just impressive all the way around! From my perspective of course.

Once you realise that waltz already had her pegged as Jewish it adds so many layers to this already masterful scene, the faux pity he displays when hearing about shosanna's late (presumably Jewish) family or offering her German made cigarettes. Truly amazing how well put together this scene is

I think Waltz had to eat about 40 strudels to film this scene.
