Hey new Player here!! I want to be a healer in PvP - do you think a mechanist could also work?

I am a long time PvP-Healer from ESO and i played Templerheal which seems to be really similar to Guardian

Cool video for beginners but I think you might be baiting some new rangers into running traps. I’ve barely seen any do so, I think mentioning dragon hunter would be good and mention the traps there and it’s a pretty simple build to use too. I think burn guardian is a good one for beginners too

as a bit more work but really rewarding, i would also add warrior, since it has really clean combos that can flow really well and have strong dueling potential and they are quite durable.

something i tried playing was elementalist, but i am really bad at it, even after more than a 1000 hours on the game as revenant, i can not combo anything with ele, it is quite hard to pick up.

In pvp, I usually play complete off-meta builds that have somehow brought me all the way to full light leggy armor as well as the back piece. Still stuck in sliver tho, but I don't mind :)

I main ranger since the start of my gaming in gw2, and i started doing pvp very recently, i did 2 matches overall, with the core ranger build, i won both, but damn i had a hard time with anxiety playing pvp, i only started doing pvp for an achievement, and i did not enjoyed that much D: I like WvW tho, but pvp was hard....

I'm a returning player and I played thief way way back and just picking up my elite specialization. Can you suggest me where should I start for pvp/pve? I can see Daredevil should go condi poison (no idea if it's viable) but what about other specs? Will I be able to play with once spec in dungeons/raids/pvp or do I need to learn different ones?

As of right now, herald is the best pvp dps. Aside from ridiculous cleave, they got huge cc, dumps boons and has mechanics that allow them to stick and chase targets while maintaining sustain.

necros are the worst to play against but even worse to play with. no amount of healing and cleansing can remove hurtful words' damage :,(

Reaper IMO is better than core

As for the build I hate playing against the most: stealth spam daredevil. It's not that I do bad against it, it's just an extremely unfun build to play against. The thing I struggle against the most is the immob druid. It's the hardest possible counter to my FA scepter weaver build and I generally never go near them unless I'm +1'ing and they are already at half hp.

I've developed a particular distaste for harbinger in pvp, why can their potions hit me for like 18k

Core Guardian is my most hated Class out there... Just facetank the whole Group, Spam only Autoattacks and do easy 50k burning dmg in a few sec
