that intro is gold
ОтветитьThis channel has some of the coolest videos on YT. You do a great job!
ОтветитьFor neat! I recently wrote some real-time convolutional reverb code for a game project. I figured people must be using this all the time to mix random sounds. Apparently yes, and this gave me a bunch of new ideas to implement. :) Question though: in the software you showed, what does "tone" and "feedback" do exactly? Not exactly sure what I was hearing when you adjusted those.
ОтветитьDayum, had no idea
ОтветитьYou just leveled up my pads. Thanks Dollar Shadow VPN McMustache 😂
ОтветитьGreat video and well explained. I recently submerged three speakers [two bookshelves and one sub] in a pond, did an underwater IR, recording with two hydrophones. Now I can run stuff under water with my waves plugin. Caves, culverts, barns, suitcase, guitar and tubes I have also captured and documented on video. I love this process.
ОтветитьI love messing around with Kefir, which is a free 1 second convolution reverb. Feeding different material into the convolver results in some really interesting etherial sound design
ОтветитьThanks for explaining all this.
I was wondering how the pulsating reverb was done on the track 'Surkin - Tiger Rhythm' (famously used in an iPhone commercial). Impulse Response explains it all
Wow, this video is awesome! 💙 Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьYou've whetted my appetite for something I've deliberately ignored for years because I didn't understand it and want to invest time learning it. Lazy! 😬
ОтветитьConvoluted ReverB
ОтветитьThank you for the amsr 🥴
ОтветитьWow! This audio processing tool is a ((to me) slightly hidden) gem! 😃
Also, it’s cool to see His Mustachesty in action capturing some everyday-notch IR’s 🤩
Thanks, Camenus 🤗
Venus theory! I am searching for a recipe for creating tape warble using a chain of basic modulation FX like vibrato or chorus or phasers and flangers, but my searching is coming up empty. Basically I'm trying to replicate the old VHS variable pitch shifts that occur. So far I've had only some luck on my own with mixing a couple vibratos together. Can't quite get it right. Do you have any tips or can point me to a video where you cover this? One thing I did that worked a bit was running a wide vibrato into a soft auto tune that shifts by semitones but it only worked well for single notes.
ОтветитьWokeahontas is crazy I really can't believe you said that 😭👎🏿
Ответитьis it possibel to use this KHS Convolver pluing in more them one computer ate the same time? is it like a license type of thing?
ОтветитьThis could be used with sidechain…
ОтветитьI'm not a buckaroony, you abysmal musical seinfeld.
ОтветитьYou are so cool.
⚡️
Really glad I watched this video.
ОтветитьBecome one with the reverb
ОтветитьThe teensy has USB pads on the back, so you can use a USB-B on your pcb and connect it with pogo pins. I think its more like 1000 times faster rather than 40! You can get buttons that don't click but they tend to have a longer throw with a springy feel, another option is molded silicone buttons (like adafruit trellis) they have carbon on the bottom that shorts traces. (you can put LEDs under them as well) imagine tiny MPC pads.
ОтветитьHow is it vs Ableton's Hybrid reverb?
ОтветитьMy new Guru! 🙏🏽
ОтветитьThanks, it's really inspiring!
ОтветитьDANG THIS IS SO COOL
ОтветитьHey Venus, off topic of the video but just curious. Do you happen to write music for tv shows? Every sound example you use in your vids sounds like it be good on a series with some intense scenes. Love your videos man. Keep up the good work 🤘🏻
ОтветитьHi there I've been using convolution verb for a while now and i was wondering. Is it ok to get the IR of the song you're working on and then add it to the final mixing blend for more context. It's like the sound is living in his own boundaries. or am i just a fool ? :) great video on a great tool btw !
Ответитьis there a convolution reverb that has an envelope follower triggered or midi triggered round robins of various IR's , or have a LFO sweep through wavetable IR's, to make the space/texture morph.... ?
ОтветитьIt's like a digital talkbox but you can change the shape of the talkbox or your "mouth" as much as you like. Super interesting
ОтветитьAwesome video! I'm now gonna go play with Reverberate 3 as it's actually a reverb I've ignored instead going straight for Seventh Heaven. Seems I can use it for way more than just reverb. Cheers man! :)
ОтветитьI am the reverb. I am the Woke'd LMAO - I'm going back to sleep. Ogo - no sample my dudes
ОтветитьIncredible video, thank you! So how do you differentiate between using an IR for timbre vs for timing? For example to make hi hats more metallic, you’d use something that has a similar ADSR envelope to the hi hat (which therefore barely alters its shape), such as a mug, like you did, but since it has a different EQ shape (more highs/resonance) THAT’S what gets printed onto the hi hats?
But you wouldn’t use a mug hit as the IR to make a long release synth ‘more metallic’ right? Because it would significantly alter the ADSR? Unless you wanted that of course :) I’m just trying to understand if you can set it to focus on only timbre / only timing, or if it always just processes both?
I appreciate you reading this far🤍 need to have a play with this.
What an amazing passion we all share:)
This guy'.is the DAW Albert Einstein
ОтветитьAmazing demo and tutorial for convolution! I'll be trying it out on my next track for sure.
ОтветитьYour voice combined with your communication style and skills is like injecting lasagna into my nervous system.
ОтветитьYou always have a creative “approach”.
Very nice.
Hey I LOVE your videos!! Your SO FUNNY!! And I also love the topics you choose!! So very insightful and fun!! Just a quick question off topic (I hope you don’t mind) what camera are you using to get that wonderful bokeh effect? Thanks again for all the amazing content...
ОтветитьVery useful information! Thanks 🙏
ОтветитьAwesome video, cool subject, I learned plenty, and you bet I’m inspired to make something (as always Cameron!)
ОтветитьWe live inside a reverb!
ОтветитьThis is completely off subject, and maybe you've answered it somewhere before, but what sort of camera do you use? I absolutely love the visual style of your videos, and I'm always distracted trying to figure out what you use to achieve this look.
ОтветитьDAMN. I never really paid much attention to convolution, although I have always loved the sound, mainly from movie scores. But I am now truly inspired by the great depth of tone you get.
ОтветитьThanks for the link and discount code! Love the channel :)
Ответитьfunny fucker
