kurt decision to add pat smear as an extra guitar player made them sound even more powerful and perfect just as kurt always wanted nirvana to sound and that is why this mtv performance is simply great RIP legend

Seeing this concert reminds me how much Dave could tear some shit up on the drums. The world misses you Kurt.

It's really hard to watch the late 93 early 94 videos because you always think that Krist, Dave and Pat were a bit guilty of his murder because they didn't tell him to just make a big break.

looks like kurt really enjoyed this performance with his energy which was near enough dull and finished before his passing, this is one of my favourite live performances along with unplugged ovbiosuly and their performance at reading in 92.

Maybe it's nostalgia talking but I feel like live bands nowadays just can't match this energy. There is something so raw and sincere that can't be replicated.

I love this performance but I know Kurt felt pressured by MTV to play this show, the “thank you’s” and smiles are dripping in sarcasm and his general demeanour “how he taking the piss just stood still on RFUS and Come as you are solos, just to name a few. And the very obvious “good night “ and sarcastic clapping.But, the animosity towards the crowd fired him up and the show had great energy. Perfect School solo, I love this version of Endless Nameless and it’s just so cool how he throws his guitar and the place is left in feedback until one of the roadies comes and turns Kurt’s amp off😂. Some really good shows in December 1993 tbf, some great moments in some of the 94 shows but the wheels were really coming off. He looked so ill on the last show, that last ever sing played Heart Shaped Box haunting. Yes he had bad throat but he was all over the place for the choruses. Really haunting version of Sappy at one of the 94 shows the solo is all over the place but still works and seems to really capture the anguish of his mind.

Pat smoking his cigarette 2 seconds before he needs to start playing is one of the coolest things ever
