Is there a way to display one screen/eye on TV? I like to play with friends at home but the two-eye view is distracting.

The latency on the Reverb is so bad that it's unusable. I have watched a bunch of videos on the river before purchasing it and not a single one mentioned the problem with latency. If you don't know what that means it means that wherever you look the image drags behind by a few milliseconds

I would buy the g3 if hp creates an amoled version with 8 cameras tracking 2 on top and 2 under the headset in addition of the 4 cameras, and with eye tracking foveating. If it runs smooth with fs2020 and rtx 4090, i would defintely buy it. Currently i have the samsung ofyssey oled vr headset. Big hope for the g3. HP is not far to create the best vr headset. Keep the good work. I still believe there is a big market if software and hardware makes big move (educative and gaming software). Would be good also to see very small oled glasses for fs2020. But it would require a new tracking technology.
We will see.

Just my question very simple : how to start MSFS with my HP reverb G2, first i start MSFS and after i can switch in the vr mode, or first i start the HP reverb and i can jump in the msfs since the vr mode ? i dont find explication how to start correctly msfs in vr mode step by step. I bought the G2 in lieu of the Quest for one reason and one reason only - NO FACEBOOK ACCOUNT NEEDED. I would pay double to avoid Facebook.

I ordered mine from HP last week for $299 and I just got around to setting it up today. While MSRP is $599 I am glad I didn't pay a dime for this more than I did. Very cheaply made, almost all flimsy plastic. I suspect HP put most of its money into the panels and lenses -- at least I hope so. I can't say I'm in love with the strap arrangement but I have to admit that it works and it does make it relatively easy to get your eyes into the sweet spot for a clear, sharp image. Image quality wise it looks very, very nice and I suspect for most people that is all that is going to matter. I had some issues getting the controllers to pair in Windows Mixed Reality but once I did it was smooth sailing from there. SteamVR integration works exceptionally well and I spent about an hour playing Red Matter 2 and had a blast with it. I can easily recommend it to those looking to get into VR on a budget. But for someone with more cash to invest I would suggest looking at other options -- particularly if build quality is important to you.

I have a 3080TI graphics card which has 3x displayport and 3x hdmi outputs. The displayport outputs are occupied by the connected 3 monitors. one hdmi output is occupied by the 4th monitor. 2 hdmi outputs remain free. is there any way to connect hp reverb g2 to graphics card via hdmi? I ask because I don't want to disconnect my 3 monitors every time I want to use VR. thank you very much for your answer.

Hp reverb g2 would be the best vr headset on the market if it had good controllers.

I use the Samsung odyssey controllers, much better quality and control.

Looking for anyone who can help. My reverb g2 is disconnecting my pc from the internet every time I turn it on. Let me give you some background. I had the Reverb G2 and loved it. But I wanted to go outside and play a archery game called In Death. So I bought the Oculus 2 and connected it to my computer and played for 2 days before I decided I didn't like some of the things about the Oculus. So I uninstalled it, reinstalled my Reverb and now when I start up WMR, my computer gets kicked from my wifi connection. I live in a motorhome and travel full time. And over the 6 months with the Reverb I never had this issue. Now my jet pack has two settings, one is 5.0 Ghz and the other is 2.4 Ghz and it WILL work on the 2.4 but not the 5.0. The problem with the 2.4 is I can't play and sim racing games with it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated from anyone who knows what might be causing this.

I'm thinking of getting one of these as the price has come down to something sort of 'reasonable'. I can get it here in Canada for $569 CAD ($420 USD). It has always been $850 CAD here ($640 USD) which is way more than I'm willing to spend on VR. How much effort does it take to get this thing running games on Steam? Can you buy from the Oculus store? My only interest is HL Alyx, IL2, Dirt Rally 2, ATS/ETS, and possibly DCS World if they can ever get the performance to an acceptable level. I am not interested in having to run scripts and registry keys and other nonsense just to get things working however. This thing should be plug and play in 2022/23. I thought about a Quest 2, but you have to buy a cable and new headstrap right off the bat by the sounds of things which makes them the same price, and I don't ever want to support that sociopathic ghoul Zuckerberg. Thoughts?

The may have fixed some of the issues, but there are still countless quality issues with it, such as the speakers.

These headsets are like $150-250 new on ebay right now depending on v1/2.

I have V2 paired with index controllers and base stations and its amazing, clear image with best hand tracking

Hey, anyone who can help out debugging G2 V2 issue? I had it for ~2 months and it worked perfectly until now. Suddenly it just can't get detected by Windows, and white HP logo on the headset doesn't light up. Oddly, Windows still makes a standard sound when I plug it into USB, just like for any other USB device. I triple checked all cable connections, and they're solid.

I already had these since yesterday, but had to check this out. I actually found only today by accident the inside thingie that you can take of so you get closer to the screens :) Excellent review alot of info I didn't know and showcasing the in details the functions :)

Mr. Sebastian. Sorry to write so many comments on this video... I just got the Reverb G2 version 2.. I don't know if there is something wrong with this headset or not, but there are a lot of things I do not like. The most important thing is the overall picture. The resolution is great.. but everything else seems off. The picture seems very unsteady.. If I were to chew gum or something the picture shakes and seems wobbly or off.. The picture is also not that immersive for some reason, the FOV or screens seem small and compressed. Feels more like looking at a screen. The colors, especially the blacks seem washed out... more than i was expecting. I don't know if I received a defective headset or something. It just doesn't seem right.. Besides the resolution, I feel that everything else on my OD+ is better... G2 has better resolution and tracking however

How do you get the v2 cable free?

With the FOV improved mode and eyes closer to the lenses, can you still use 3rd party prescription lens inserts? They fit between the headset and the eyes, so I'm wondering if that gap would no longer be available for such inserts.

Mr. Sebastian, have you ever re-tried the FOV test with the Odyssey plus. I know the program is now giving you different answers than in the past. I am just curious how much better the OD+ is with FOV compared to this HP reverb G2.. I found the G2 version 2 on sale open box for a very good price.. So I am debating whether to get it and sell my OD+.. but I really do like the OLED quality and FOV of the OD+..

how we can understan if we like to buy this g2 if new version 2 ?

Frustrating that I can't find it for sale anywhere in my country and I don't want to import it because it'll be a pain in the butt trying to return it if the headset I buy turns out to not be the v2 headset.

these g2 lenses are the worst ive had, Rift S, Quest 1 and 2, playstation VR, and i did have a custom face gasket to get close to the lenses

Thanks for all this information on the G2. Being a SIM racing gamer, will give this headset a go. I do have the Rift S also, so I guess I will do my own comparisons. I also have the Odyssey 2 VR headset and really was worse than the Rift S. The Sweet spot for me was way too small for SIM racing. Could never get both eyes in focus.
