Very true I used to work for a very big school that is one of the highest paying in my city in Nigeria I worked for 6 years and felt I was no longer learning again I decided to evolve. My friends and some family members where that how can you with such a school and salary.
What I was seeing they are not
These where my strength and target
I. I don’t want to clock 50 working for anyone
2. No matter how long you work you can’t be the MD
3. The lives of my superiors are nothing to take home
4. The work made so many people childless, single mothers or not even married
5. Your employer pays you 2% of your worth
6. You are helping them fulfill their dreams
7. I have learnt all I needed to start my own
With many more running on my head I left
Few years I left what my account received I would have worked for 100 years to be able to save what came to me.
We should meditate more and take steps

Please for God's sake, if you are reading this. That advice that you must learn to live well below your income, PLEASE OBEY IT PROMPTLY. Do not buy a car and house so that the payment is equal to your salary without anything left. It is frustrating o.

Great tips

Time value of money is one of the reasons you should start investing at an early age. My biggest mistake was marrying Nigerian/African women after I started teaching in the university. My career was truncated but I invested heavily and lived below my standards at the very early stage. The Nigerian women have no concept of love and teamwork. I spent almost $1M to divorce the two Nigerian women who now wants to come back to me to leave on my money. Listening to you tells me that you you have experienced a lot.

The highest I have worked for a firm was 6yrs when they started cutting out annual leave from 26 days to only 16 days, I knew the worse is coming ..I resigned even without any job ..my colleagues saw it as madness...trust me that gave me enough time to rest and look for another job..behold I got a job in 6 weeks ..in those 6weks I visited everywhere and enjoy myself like never before....I enter my new job with great freshness.

There is some truth to other people living overseas and sharing their experience but they tend to focus too much on the negatives and in the process they try to discourage others from not coming but while doing that they're still living there. This however isnt that and not only did you cover the pros and cons but went into great details. Hmmm make una listen ooo. As an someone who did the Canada dance and who returned back to Nigeria 10 years ago. I endorse her counsel, passing knowledge is what supports generational survival and properity. She is saving you decades of hard lessons with this. Especially the younger immigrants in their mid 20s or early 30s.
