Fix Standby Mode NOT Working on iPhone iOS 17

SOLVED, I had the same issue but already went though all the steps he mentioned. I guess it’s a bug I turned off and back on my iPhone and it’s working again. Hope this helps

Tilting it at an angle seems to have worked for me( imitating a stand or kickstand)

Another reason it may not be working. For those of you who are having trouble with the standby mode widgets working. Go to settings, Face ID and Passcode switch Lock Screen widgets on.

I thought it was bad to charge your iPhone to 100%?
If you have “standby” on all night you will be at 100% by morning?

Phone needs to be locked when u put it on a charger in landscape. Just make sure faceid isn’t unlocking your phone when u put it on. This worked for me.

I had to reboot my phone to get it to work.

It worked since the beginning in my case BUT even worse it was showing the wrong time. At some point it got stuck at 3.05am… fortunately, I got off bed

It works on my iPhone 12 Pro but the clock shows the hour of Cupertino and not my location.

Regretting downloading this iios17 update. Night mode sideways on stand and shows clock minus 8 hours and won’t change. Lost all avatars for messages. Really annoying plus battery life much less 😡 get it sorted Apple!

it’s really annoying mines completely bugged and i can’t edit it anymore also the world clock keeps on changing to american time

What kind of stand do you have ?

I have 14 pro and it works and stays on during the day, but at night shuts off after 20 seconds or whatever, not on sleep focus or anything, can't figure out to save my life.

Why have updates if they don’t work

Useless feature for standby mode I have to charge my phone does that make any sense. Apple is not innovating anything new just copied from android. 😡
