Didn't even mention the Canon 17-55 2.8 IS, which should probably be the winner as it's a much more useful focal range. Fail.
ОтветитьExcellent info!! Thank you!
ОтветитьWhat’s the best lens for radio? Do you need stabilized lenses for radio, or just video? Thank you.
ОтветитьI could save you the trouble.... Canon L 24-105 Mkii + Canon 17-55 2.8 IS
ОтветитьHow do you find the OS on the sigma with your bmpcc6k and Ursa? Did you need to calibrate the OS to engage while shooting video? Interested in picking up a fast stabilised lens
ОтветитьHello from the future! Every lens mentioned is now obsolete when it comes to stabilization (although they're still great lenses), as the BMPCC 6K Pro (as well as 6K and 4K) now have internal gyroscopic stabilization that (in my humble opinion) is vastly superior to any lens stabilization. However, for it to work, you have to disable the lens stabilization...
Ответитьi want the sigma 24mm 1.4 and the 18-35 and the 24-70 and the 70-200 all from sigma i love what i'm hearing from them so i want to start getting these camera lenses. i really like what i see so i want to know how good sigma art series is

ОтветитьThere’s a lot of people talking about the Canon efs 17-55 2.8 here. I bought that lens and the range is indeed great. HOWEVER, the build quality isn’t and the focus ring is so plasticy and thin that it doesn’t really allow for good focus pulls. I think this is why it isn’t included here. It’s a good budget option but lacks some details to really be used professionally.
Thanks for the overview Epic Light Media!
Also, now that black magic released gyro stabilization for their pocket cameras it makes de sigma 18-35 even better
ОтветитьCan anyone confirm?
The 24-70 on a bmpcc6k pro
Is now a 36-105?
Without 50mm you are amateur 😄😄😄😄
Ответитьwhy do u prefer the sigma 24-70 over the tamron 24-70?
ОтветитьIm a bit confused.. are the Sigma 24-70 lenses for canon stabelised and the same lens with Sony FE mount are not?
ОтветитьI didn't subscribe, I only clicked the subscribe button.
ОтветитьDo you need to buy an adapter for the 6k Pro for the Sigma 24 - 70 ?
ОтветитьJust out of curiosity, has anyone had their lens with IS like stutter when in movement? There will be times when I flip the IS mode on the image on the back of my 6K Pro will shift up and down making IS unusable for me.
ОтветитьMan, your videos always catch me by surprise. I'll start watching expecting to turn on 2x speed to get the info as fast as possible, but I find myself taking time to really appreciate the thought and effort that goes into making your videos. Btw I "didn't" subscribe ;)
ОтветитьI have a pocket 6k pro and I finally found a review of stabilized lens.. Thanks for this..
ОтветитьI use the Canon 24-105mm a lot and I love it for its range. And if you zoom with an open f4, you don't lose any light. If you close it just to f4.5, it is just as you show: You lose lots of light zooming in.
Ответитьhi good show! I have question. I watched this vide plethora times. I have canon r. I want to use 4k but has crop of 1.7 would you suggest the sigma 1835 1.8? I believe this lens was designed to correct canon r 4k crop. I was actually very interested with sigma 2485 2.8 for daily use 1080p.
ОтветитьIt collects way too much dust....Mine looked like an ashtray after two months of using... Never will recommend it!
ОтветитьI shoot on a Fuji XT3 with a speedbooster and the tamron 24-70 f 2.8 g2. And I love it. I don't mind the weight at all. Quite the contrary because I shoot 90% handheld
ОтветитьUse a prime ffs
ОтветитьThanks for the awesome tips.
ОтветитьThe tampon 17-30 was much brighter than canon lol
ОтветитьGreat review!
ОтветитьI just tried several tests with a Canon EF 24-105 f/4L IS (version ONE), and I cannot replicate your results with it. I realize that you used the version 2 of that lens, so that's worth exploring more.
But for now, this requires that I unsubscribe. I don't even know how I subscribed in the first place, but this video helped me realize that you already have way too many subscribers.
I disagree here. As with the BMPCC test which you rated the original battery grip at 1 hour (which is 2 hours really, I own it and use it all the time and habe tested it) the Sigmas are optically beautiful lenses but their OS is not smooth at all for video. While we appreciate these tests and fun videos the informations should be more accurate. After testing these lenses too I find the original 24-105 L lens to have the most natural IS for handheld shooting.
ОтветитьSigma 18-35/1.8 is an essential lens for EVERY videographer
ОтветитьThank you!
Any opinion about the SIGMA 50-100 lens?
They cost too much
ОтветитьWhich one are you prefer, sigma or canon lenses?
ОтветитьWhich Canon 24-105 you tested (Version I or II)? I am shocked to see how dark the image gets as you zoomed in! that is a shame I was thinking about buying that lens (both for Video and Photo).
ОтветитьSorry about all your extra subscribers.
ОтветитьYour talking head shots in this looked amazing!
ОтветитьLove the channel. Thinking of going with the Pocket 6k Pro with your recommended lens for an in-house corporate position but the lack of auto-focus scares me. Your shots just don't seem to lose focus. Is that just practice or selective editing? My biggest issue in the past is just not being able to tell if I was in focus or not, especially while outside in the sun.
Ответитьi would change up the outro. it throws me off every time.
ОтветитьHi! With what camera did you shoot this video? Thanks!
ОтветитьI love my Panasonic 24-105 f4. It's nearly perfect and doesn't suffer from any of the drawbacks on the other 24-105s listed here. I would love it if Blackmagic would give us an L mount camera.
ОтветитьI was going to not like your video, but its too late. sorry, maybe next time.
ОтветитьGreat vid!! Just wondering what ND filters were used toward the end in that lovely orangey sunny street?
ОтветитьMy winner is the Canon 24-105mm f/4 because I own one!
(Sorry Canon 70-200 F/4 I still love you too!)
Big disclaimer. Not all Tamron lenses work well with BMD.
ОтветитьWish BMP adopted a mirrorless mount which has greater lens compatibility.
ОтветитьIt's almost scary how i was thinking about this for the last few weeks and then i watch this video... I have one question, is the Sigma your fav. because its OS is better than the Tamrons? I've watched christopher frosts video and he said that its a bit janky for video... I appreciate your Work, thanks for these great videos brother. Sincerest regards from germany <3
ОтветитьWhy are you using a full frame lense on S35 senser? Sigma 1835 1.8 is a much better and affordable option.
Ответить
