Awesome scene but one thing never really sat well with me even as a kid watching this Bowen killed a dozen dragons before meeting Draco ago and from the way he speeds and the way Draco reacts to the dragon tooth shield we can make a educated guess that this dragons hadn’t fallen to evil they we’re probably just hunting from the herds owned by the villagers so why did their body’s stay intact wall his became star dust

One of the few fantasy themed movies I convinced my husband to watch with me back in the day (mostly because of the cast). He was pleasantly surprised ❤

I can imagine the new Spyro Reignited Trilogy 4 remastered Spyro game actually having Spyro be killed by a new villain who is the first villain who actually kills Spyro and his friends trying to revive him and call him back similar to how it happened with Sonic in Sonic 06.
I like Spyro and can't wait to get it.
We need more Spyro.

I remember crying after drago died, I was a little kid

A dragon reminds me of from the Bible of the revelations.

What I loved most about Draco is that he was an actual character.

He wasn’t some hero’s scaly horse or an evil obstacle that needed to be destroyed.

He was a wise, brave, flawed and compassionate soul that just happened to be a dragon.

I remember watching this for the first time as a kid and seeing draco turn to a star made my imagination go wild and i did nothing but draw dragons after that

That May 31, 1996, thousands, millions of children felt their hearts broken in pieces in front of the screen
That feeling was something unforgettable......

Good lord, I teared up so hard to this scene when I was still a little kid.

I saw this movie so many times as a kid, and this ending always made me cry a lot 😭

The stars sequence went over my head as a kid and just hit me like a truck

I watched this for the first time in first grade in the late 90's or so, I've never forgotten it.

Sean Connery’s Draco taught me whenever I am trouble or saddened, look to the stars and there I shall find guidance and peace

humor this film has, mostly thanks to
Draco/ Sean Connery, this scene is so
sad yet inspiring between Randy E's
score, Gilbert's final narration and
the sacrifice Draco has to make.

This scene hits me a lot different than
in 1996, but the emotional power is
even more present for me now.

This clip alone makes me wanna
watch it again now.....or soon

This movie is the reason i love dragon and fantasy, and even now, 28 years later, i still cry when draco goes to the stars.
(He never really died)

Dragco joins his ancestors in the afterlife, at least. I bald out cried when he died, and my mom told me, "Do you want him to be sad too?"

The real ending of Skyrim?

The way the stars move to embrace him too, almost as if his fellow dragons were rushing in to welcome him

Something about a sad look (with a bit of tears maybe, it is not easy to see and tell) from a guy with only one eye, is moving in a very peculiar (and amazing) way 🥲

Sean Connery were a legend and l think at one time he could have been among kings in his own country and he was the best Draco ever played and amazing actor among all his achievements and actors he will always be remembered

My little heart when this came out couldn’t take it I couldn’t comprehend what had to happen this hurt so much

Omgosh, this is one of my very favorite movies! I love Sean Connery as the voice of Draco. This scene always makes me cry.
