I guess it’s all up to what you hold as important. These children were young here. I am sure there “uneducation” changed as they grew into adulthood.

Kids need to learn "no," but i agree theres no reason to say no about the hammock. This whole thing is scary. Im sure there are some people whose children do learn well with this method, but this family doesnt seem to be doing it right.

No schooling , no rules, well maybe hunting and gathering might work...
They need to move out into the nothingness...

it been 13 years later and I've seen this as a child, as a kid I knew who I wanted to be and have made goals and completed some. In College now as well and now I feel bad for these kids in this very video.

Seriously I don't think none of them made it in life and it's during C-19 as well makes it so much harder to find jobs, friends, a proper education, having any forum of a business, and not able to use the internet safely.
I feel like those kids are at a higher risk of abuse, being scammed, being lost, not able to pay for basic needs, not be able to call 911 properly, failing to follow Laws/TOS/Guidelines, and not be able to do basic/complex parts of Physical/Mental health to be healthy and alive.

I think its best to find a balance between strict and free range. Too strict causes kids to make bad decisions as adults and have unrealistic expectations of the real world. Too free means you get bratty people who cant be told no. I find that its best to balance the two out

Raising a new generation of morons. I feel bad for the kids, they will probably have to work four times as hard later in life to catch up, that is if they happen to be clever enough to realize what they are actually lacking in life. Discipline, following rules and obedience to a perceived authority will probably be where these kids will struggle the most.

Depending on the way it is handeled, I would definitely say the unschooling doesn't sound TOO awful, A bit pointless since kids rarely have any real idea what they want to learn, But otherwise ok, The free range parenting however, Just sounds like a one-way ticket to jail/homelessness or worse when they grow up.

Train a child in the way he should go.

No rules , No direction , No eduction , No experience with diversity , No friends , No sense of comradery , No work ethic , did I leave anything out??? These children are in for some tough times ahead. EVERYONE else will be ahead of them. Way ahead.They will feel the stigmas and pain of their parents decision making in their future - ALL OF THEM!!! This is ridiculous!!! We are not animals……..we must be “raised” — this is just dragging your kids up…….with a whatever/whatever attitude period!! Lazy parents here………..🤯🤯🤯🤯unbelievable……..

Parenting your kids doesn’t mean they’re going to be sneaky. But this is insane, you’ve essentially taught them they can do what ever they want without consequence.

For me, I enjoy summers with my kids, but couldn’t wait for them to be back in school so they can learn. Unless you plan to raise your children until they’re in their old age, make them as independent as they can be.

It's fine to not send your kids school but u need to teach them at home and u need a schedule because even animals have a schedule for everything.parrits sleep throughout night wake up in early morning.nocturnals stay awake at night so u are even lesser than an animal

These are lazy and mentally screwed parents. Wait till they branch out into the outside world and do not know how to get by with the average person.

I agree with this, but, I think that im still teaching my kids how to read, and I’m teaching them history, and math, but I’m not teaching them unnecessary things, like calculus, unless they want to pursue that. This is a great method of parenting, if you have SOME boundaries.

School is too strict and needs a curriculum rework, but some of the stuff they teach is useful. It just shouldn’t go to the point where you learn hyper specific useless information.

They'll eventually regret it when those kids hold resentments against them for making them feel stupid amongst their peers. And how will they support themselves?

There is a danger to this path...I always this haunted image of those poor people that followed Jim Jones to Guyana in South America. When they grow up they could easily be pulled into a cult or some other nepherious group.
The school system is a mess..so I can see some people not having a choice.
At least least they could learn a skill or their survival will be tenuous at best.
