I'm grateful to you for subtitles. Listening comprehension was always my vulnerable spot as long as English is not my native language. And modal verbs are definitely one of my nightmares

ОтветитьWhy did you not involve a crowd to voice the lesson?
ОтветитьI understood. Wow it’s great. Now, I don’t scare or worry about grammar exams.
ОтветитьThere is no difference between must and have to at all.
Don't listen to that silly explination.
I am an english teacher and I found that you British yourseves don't have any significant difference in using both of them...they are exactly interchangable..
Your books are full of differences in using them...
The only difference is that Americans prefer have to while British prefer must
Hi guys 👏I need your help with this: "The doctor has put me on the strict diet. I ____ eat more fruit and vegetables and do more exercises." Thanks 😊

ОтветитьWhich one is used for laws?
ОтветитьI thought "must" could also show a probability, as in "You must be Harry". And that you could use "must" in the past - "must have", isn't it right?

ОтветитьHello. You slightly mentioned that you can use "must" in rules, for example, in hospitals. But you didn't give a clear difference or an explanation how it is different from "have to". Because hospital is a public place. As far I have understood it should be written "Have to do something' but you used "must wash" although hospital is not a person to give his/her strong recommendations.
ОтветитьWhere is Feifei, please?🌸

ОтветитьYou didn't mention that must has a stronger effect than have to.
This is what we were taught at school.
Intresting
ОтветитьThe t in must is not silent when the next word begins with a vowel.
ОтветитьThanks so much. Am I correct in the following recap?
1. Have to is used for rules and general obligations in positive.
2. Mustn't is used for rules and general obligations in negative.
