Basically she is saying society needs to realize that going forward we shouldn't expect humans to be adults until their 30's or 40,'s.
There are consequences to never telling a child NO and providing excuses for any and all personal short comings..
Ok, let's step away from this, and go to something a little more helpful for professional and personal life. Listen to Jocko and learn Extreme Ownership and practice it daily, and it will be far more beneficial than this.
Ответитьso what's her point here, I don't get it, why millennials need a mentor?
ОтветитьLol except the point of a job is that you are hired BECAUSE you ALREADY HAVE a skillset. Its not the employers job to hold your hand??? Lol. Of course theyre not going to invest in that. Theres work that needs to be done
ОтветитьVery interesting and important message. As a supervisor i will continue to motivate, give feedback and encourage my staff.
ОтветитьYou're hot
ОтветитьThis is so important. Totally agree with the message.
ОтветитьI shut it off when you said the first thing you're proud of is being first born...... typical people think that's the best part of life. On a side note thanks for the video
Ответитьnice presentation but why in society do we have this need to group everybody, while in the same breath using the well-used adage that everyone is different..
ОтветитьThis was great!!! Very well put together....fantastic job. (Generation X)
ОтветитьSPOILED, INSECURE BRATS WHO NEED CONSTANT PRAISE!!
ОтветитьWow, how did I get where I am without a mentor ship? Millennial AKA “the show me how generation” what is the answer to all these millennials that can’t show up to work on time and stay off the phone?
Ответитьbunch of children. grow up and stop acting like children
Ответитьhopefully these kids grow up fast, google how to grow up to be ready for the workplace or something, i swear
ОтветитьIf the Millennial is your stereotypical Millennial then they already know everything from a blog they read.
ОтветитьI liked her presentation a lot.
I wish she will make more presentations in the future.
You hit the nail on the head, as other commenters said. I am also a millennial and a 2x TED speaker. I agree that mentorship is very important. I seek mentorship in the way you described... a mutual relationship. I do so in a team because sometimes I want to hear things from multiple perspectives. And being a millennial, I actually aspire to help others like myself in my field of occupational therapy. I blended what I learned from experienced practitioners and my own experience! Overall, great job!
