some great information 🔥
ОтветитьEveryone talking about the hate coments but I cant find a single one. Great video btw
ОтветитьIm sure it might have something to do with what we eat
Ответить...I'd still love to yeet allergic reactions outta my genes, thanks.
ОтветитьI love, love, love Real Science, especially this one about allergies. These videos are so interesting and informative.
ОтветитьMy allergies are strong, making them above "an annoyance". I'm in a perpetual state of anxiety, tiredness and slowness. It caused misophinia, anesmia aaaand ... Yes, depression. Thank God, moving to another country with another climate (nonexistent in where i had to live before), i'm almost cured even if the acute chronic sinusitis will still be here forever 🥲 Allergies suck for real
Funnily enough i grew up playing all day outside and getting all sorts of infections. So even despite the right "exposures" we can still be vitcims of them
Well qhy would it be weeded put of the gene pool if humans with allergies still reproduce...
ОтветитьI am kinda blown away by the hate comments against evolution. Like, bro, it is a Biology channel, what do you expect?
ОтветитьGood video 👍🏿
ОтветитьIm allergic to cats. I can never eat another one 😢
ОтветитьExcellent vid, as usual!! Keep up the good work and important 'self' moments!
Don't let the negative people get you down.
One can 'not like' something and/or disagree with something without being rude, crude, and abusive. When some are negative like that, it says much more about them...not you.
More relevant to this vid...
I've had allergies my entire life. Mostly Hay Fever (pollens), cat dander, soaps/detergents, a couple medications and foods. My allergies were much worse when I was younger. But over time and by not always rushing to take medications for pollen allergies mainly, unless I absolutely had too, and letting my immune system deal with them, they became less sever. Until Covid...but again, I am giving my immune system the time and space to naturally deal with the changes.
As for cats. I found a stray a long time ago. Took him to the vet for medical care. I really liked that cat...there was something special about him. Asked the vet about my cat allergy. He said: 'if I can naturally deal with my immune response (no meds) for about 3 months that my immune system would adjust'. It did.
I had Artemis (my cat) for almost 15 years.
Very interesting video. Goddamn how is my body so scared of the risk of fungal spores being in pollen that it makes me sneeze a million times and eyes swell up. Hate pollen, shouldn't be an issue...
Ответить"how is it bad? iTs NoT!!!!! IT ONLY CONSTRICTS YOUR BLOOD VESSELS AND CAUSES BLOOD POOLING IN EXTREMETIES AND SHUTS DOWN YOUR BREATHING!!!!!! THAT'S SO GOOOODDDD!!!!!" ok then.....
Ответитьwow amazing video ❤
ОтветитьAllergies are pissing me off
ОтветитьFascinating subject! Thank you
ОтветитьI never met anyone with a peanut allergy until I was in my 30s. There is CLEARLY an environmental cause that's recent and not genetics.
ОтветитьMy mother and I were deathly allergic to cats, but stubborn child that I was, I still wanted one more than anything. My mom wouldn't get me one, but I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, and they got me a cat. I was about 5 years old at the time, and man, those first few months were especially hard. I could barely go near him without my head filling with snot and the slightest touch near my eyes would lead to them itching and burning for over an hour. It slowly started to become less intense over time though, and now I am nearly 30 and have owned cats all my life. I can spoon my cat and bury my face into his fluff without much more than a nose tickle now.
My mom always loads up on clariten and never had the same exposure, and is still just as allergic as she was decades ago.
i mean being allergic to [wild] cats and dogs will have definitely ensured survival of a couple of individuals throughout history
ОтветитьPeople still don’t agree with evolution?
ОтветитьI do find allergies interesting although I don't have any myself... very interesting channel ❤
ОтветитьI love those videos
But I listen to them usually with my earbuds and the background music really gets on my nerves!
Maybe they are made to be listened to without headphones 🥲
New subscriber ❤
ОтветитьThis video has no cats I'm sad :-(
ОтветитьAw poor mice :'(
I've seen rise of the planet of the apes, I can now relate 😂
Some pissed of koba mouse is gonna kill us all
It's because people that are allergic still create descendants and pass down the genes, evolution uses natural selection, a variation of a species that survives and procreate, pass down the genes and increase probability of getting it, those with bad variation or mutation, usually have a lower probability of surviving and procreate. Nowadays, everyone lives, and everyone makes children, so the good and the bad both gets passed down. It's the effect of modernization.
ОтветитьOk but you didn't explain any part of why as a teenager I became allergic to pollen and cats at approximately same time without having been allergic to anything for the past 13-15 years.
ОтветитьThis became a horror show.
How many mice died?
And what about the bees?!
Got a pretty big list of allergies. I would say I developed them because I was born premature with no functioning immune system at birth. In most cases I’d rather not have any allergies, but something I’ve noticed later in my teens and adulthood is my response to infections. I do show some symptoms, but my body usually can get rid of it in a few days or even just half a day while others of my peers can get absolutely debilitated for a week or longer.
Perhaps my immune system has been calibrated to react to any possible infection immediately. So it never gets a good foothold in my body before it has already been eliminated.
I don't believe in evolution but I appreciate all the research and time you put into this great job.
ОтветитьNot a glitch. Its from us being too good at destroying bacteria and parasites Including the beneficial ones that help us cope with allergents
ОтветитьI was hoping to talk to any experts in this field on an idea I came up with. If you are an expert in the field, let me know, please.
Ответитьbecause we got away from nature itself,we isolated our kids betrayed our planet
ОтветитьWhat sound is this in the beginning? It sounds a Bridgeton sound when Lady Whistledown is speaking. Please tell me!!
ОтветитьGotta love when the bodies response to save you from dying is to just kill you instead
Ответитьwhen childhood stay at village (so many flowers there), nobody from thats village get pollen allergic
but majority childhood at the city, have a fcking glitch pollen allergic
Wow such a concise and all encompassing explanation!!
ОтветитьI don’t know why but I have never developed Allergies (I sneeze one day during the spring but that’s it) I don’t know if it’s just because I try to expose myself to everything or if my immune system is really good (I don’t really get sick anymore either, used to when I was a lot younger)
ОтветитьI'm so glad I got no allergies that I know of
Ответитьwouldent the fact that we treat alergies in it of itself make alergies happen more because in nature somebody who has a peanut alergy will die probobly but these days we can treat it so they dont just get wiped out
ОтветитьMe whos allergic to eggs and is lactose intolerant , which led me down a rabbit hole of veganism and existential crisis of what it means to be a human and cause harm , if it does or doesn't vindicate pur ancestral roots of survival of having a purpose fpr eaying bacon and having a reason to live . Being conscious of every animal product also made me so depressed beyond help .
Do I keep eating animals? I dont know , I dont want want to know . I just want to go back to eating ice cream and violently sharting everywhere , purposely not knowing what impact it has .
If I dont eat animal products for health , environmental or ethical reasons , do I do it for no reason ? Yeah , I guess I do . And thats okay .😮
evolution works perfectly, it us humans that stopped living with nature, instead we we live inhumane lives, pollution and destroying nature, which destroys us back.
now we are just artificially kept alive by a medical industry and out inability to pick good genes to make new babies from. there is almost not good genes left, an no food without pollution or gmo, processed or added synthetics.
I was a serious allergy sufferer until I gave up refined sugar and flour, now I never get hayfever, until I eat something sugary which is how I know it's all about that evil white substance.
ОтветитьIt’s called skipping natural selection by medicine, and overpopulation leading to an increase in people with deadly allergies that are able to thrive in our modern society that otherwise wouldn’t without the knowledge and medical care
ОтветитьI know the answer and I haven't even watch this. The allergens have evolved too.
ОтветитьI remember as an animal loving kid who was allergic to fur animals, I got offended when media was making fun of allergies and portray it excessively as it transforms you into a grotesque monster with the extreme swelling being similar to that of the Elephant Man. Allergies are not funny and it's very distressful and even dangerous when you suffer from it and it was just reckless of people just mocking it just because they had never experience it.
ОтветитьI suffer from allergies as does my brother, but his are severe anaphylaxis kind. When we traveled to China I quickly realized we didn't get rid of allergies because allergies got rid of us. No one in China knew what a peanut allergy was.... cause all the people with peanut allergies unfortunately probably died.
