Baldur's Gate 3 - Patch 2 Just Dropped & it's INCREDIBLE

does anyone know if you have to install patch 1 or all the updates before patch 2 or can you just jump straight to it? i upgraded to the last one before patch 1

All of their hard work aside, tbh, I don‘t notice ANY performance improvements in Act III. It‘s just disappointing

0 performance increase after playing the game with this patch, actually i noticed decrease in some areas, so beside the bug fixes, nothing is incredible.

There are 2 big things i really want 1 more races and 2 this one is more important more companions. But still love everything so far.

Not sure whats going on but this patch kinda made the game unplayable. It started not to bad, random crashes sometimes like 30 min after launch but if it made it past that it was good the whole time. Then for some reason I got to "assault on moonrise towers" and the second I cross the bridge the game crashes. Doesn't matter if I load an older save, doesn't matter if I launch in DXL or Vulcan, doesn't matter if I verify my file integrity, graphic drivers are all 100% up to date, etc. The game just crashes 100% of the time at that point... so I basically can't play anymore.

If by incredible you mean it bugs your party so they don't follow you anymore, youre right.

I really liked Karlachs new ending but running in slow mo when the environment doesn’t looks really silly…

With this new patch there's a lot of bugged dialogues.

Mr Hultun: I was gaming since the 80ties. Yes, I'm that old. There have been only a few games that got my attention: Mass effect, Elder scrolls, Dragons age, The witcher, baldur's gate, GTA. There are some runners up like civilization, the sims and X-com but they are a niche. I could name a few older ones like crusader, Mechwarrior, police quest but you probably only heard of them.
This baldur's gate is a peculiar thing. It makes a man weep, another one sing. I never really was into the DnD thing. I bought this game in early accesss and it was the first and only time I did. I don't know why. This game, baldur's gate III has it all. I did not expect it but by golly. It is the best game since... ages.

My bug report was replied to in the same day, and was fixed in the first patch. Which isn't something i can proudly say about any other title in my library.

They still did not fix Warlock pact of the blade extra attack staking with other martial extra attack. They also did not fix the sharpshooter trait not applying -5 attack to off hand crossbow. o,.o

I just turn on steam and patch 2 is downloading I thought it was a mistake, surely not THIS quick.. freaking crazy.

I'd love a transmog system, since there are so many great looking armor sets that have terrible stats. I know transmog isn't really a big part of actual paper D&D, but I hope they include it in some way.

It broke the ui mod which wasn’t a huge deal and easily fixed but one of my campaigns is now a different version and I’ve no idea how. (I’m odd and I’m playing 4 games). Everything else is fine but every single save on my Druid is a different version now and I can’t load any of them.

It's weird that Merchant attitude doesn't change even if you just saved their lives.....

Really want an option to not have anyone turn into a Japanese hentai, and also save Orpheus. If we could get an option for an alliance between the emperor and Orpheus to then get rid of the lich queen.

“Reduced the size of savegames.” This one is a biggie… my PC would actually start to run slower, even though I have more than enough disk space. This is just on top of all the other fixes and improvements. Larian are efiin heroes. 👍

Well i didnt have game crashes before this patch but now my game crashes every 5 minutes

I love Larian and all the work they are putting into the game, and I'm all about they fixing bugs and glitches and crashes and add quality of life to the game. BUT, after all that I'd really love to see them add different body types, because CAPS on/off didn't really cut it for me, I was expecting fat bodies, thin halflings, strong giths and overall more diversity. It's also an issue for me that the beards are so bad for dwarves, who are famous for well kept and complex beards. And finally I missed having voices for half-orcs, dragonborn and more brutish characters. Playing a half orc barbarian who sounds like a librarian is such a turn off...

I want them to fix the knowledge domain channel divinity. the widsom version doesn't work

sorry i respectably disagree with your statement of Larian caring ....
these huge patches imo just show how much BG3 was rushed out and how much content was beeing cut and is still not implemented
i think its a good game, but tbh it still needs at least 5000 more man-days to be even called somewhere near finished

One of the things that always bug me a little with BG3 is all people have great dialogues and ist feels great, until our character "speaks" and just gets skipped and they akt like he/she said something really emotional, but I got kicked out of the immersion a little again, because he/she just doesn't speak.

ngl, them patching back content bit by bit even with minor patches is kinda demotivating me from playing games like this on launch again, I finished my playthrough and next time I guess il just hold off on a game like this until it sorted it's shit out.
I assume act 3 will receive some major patches, fingers crossed for upper city in the future

I have honestly had 0 problems errors, bugs or anything with this game(PC) 215 Hour's played. It has been nothing but amazing

Does it fix the balance issues? I skimmed the patch notes but didn't see a mention. I'm not redownloading a 120GBs if I still have to save scum, hit the camp after every fight, and cross reference a wiki for every quest. The game felt like a chore and slog.

Larian is THE studio to be currently. They ARE the standard. If they keep this up, I will buy any game they make without a second thought.

unfortunately since the patch my 'Chest of the Mundane' just literally doesn't work anymore. which sucks.

What we really need right now is a limited height control for the camera. So like PageUp and PageDown to move the camera up and down. Would solve a lot of camera frustration in multi-level, deep and narrow spaces
