can u help me, i have an Aorus AD27QD gaming 1440p monitor... 144hz.. so with the new update we all know 1440p is a thing now, my question is, does all games support 120hz?? coz I can only play 120hz in Fortnite, coz fortnite has 120hz...

but games like Forbidden west, or ghost of tshushima, its still in 60 even on performance mode... so 120hz how on these games???

And how much time do you spend approaching 120 ?

Sony doesn't support VRR at 1440p. So you must be playing in 1080p.

I'm currently playing LOU Part 1 with VRR and am really enjoying the higher framerate. Can't wait for all the 120Hz games to come out on PS5 next year.

This works because the ps5 is powerful enough to run a game two gens prior at 120 fps. I doubt they'll get current gen only games to run at 120 fps.

First of all. You didn't even put it on 1440p. You left it on automatic. If you put it on 1440p. You will see that you have to have VRR off.

Honestly, I have Sony inzone m9, way better than lg! I get 4k 60fps on the last of us game on quality mode when I turn on VRR! Plus beat better blacks!

1440p is awesome....its noticeably better than 1080p, but it's not that far off from 4k....ESPECIALLY when running over 100fps. I prefer this mode...fps should take priority over resolution for PS5 imo.

So basically this only works on 4K 120hz TV with HDMI 2.1 and not 1440p 120hz or 144hz Monitors with HDMI 2.0 which defeats the purpose so People are right Sony hasn’t released software to support 1440p 120hz yet because doing 2K or 1440p 120hz on 4K Tv has never been a problem since Rachet and Clank had that option since few months after its been released and I believe Spiderman has similarly options as well in Performance Mode

You tested 1440p but you didn't switch to it. You left resolution as automatic....

Best version of Last of us is going to be the pc version a decent mid range GPU will be able to achieve 1440p at locked 120 fps..

You have to turn the VRR off on your PS5 then good to resolution turn on 1440 and then it should work you can also turned 120 Hz on in the PS5 instead of automatic

Finally. My PS5 look so good on my monitor now 👾 correct, total game changer. I’m about half way through last of us, I’m so stoked I got the update just in time. I can’t wait to replay the whole uncharted series after this

Quick resume on the PS5 is not like that box because on the Xbox you can start one game and you can go playing a next game and then come back and you will still be at the same spot you were

your resolution is set to Auto, you have to set it to 1440p, the test 1440p is just to see if your tv or monitor can display 1440p. It does not do it automatically.
