Stand by me is the best. I just felt sad about the ending. But it's beautifully crafted ❤️
ОтветитьAmerican Graffiti, The Last Picture Show, Rumble Fish, Tex, Ordinary People, Racing With The Moon, Almost Famous, Rushmore and The Man in The Moon are great too, american cinema side. I also suggest three little/great european movies, Le premier jour du reste de ta vie (France, 2008), Living is Easy with Eyes Closed (Spain, 2013) and Backbeat (UK, 1994), wich is not just a coming of age movie, i'ts the Beatles coming of age movie (and the best Beatle-related movie to this day)...Honorable mention to City of God (Cidade de Deus, 2002), a great coming of age crime movie from Brasil.
ОтветитьFish Tank by Andrea Arnold is one of the best coming of age films of all time and no one thinks about it ever.
ОтветитьKIDS should have been on this list 😔
ОтветитьWould Cruel Intentions be considered a coming of Age movie?
Ответить#20: Booksmart (2019)

#13: Love, Simon (2018)
#12: Moonlight (2016)
#11: Moonrise Kingdom (2012)

#6: Boyhood (2014)

One of my favorite coming-of-age movies is "Foxes" with Jodie Foster & Cherie Curie. The girls in the movie were just about the same age I was when it came out so I relate to it so much.
ОтветитьShow dick some respect
ОтветитьIs that James Dean?
ОтветитьLove dead poets society has a very touching melody backtone to it with sadness too have seen some of these films not the thongs one
ОтветитьDead Poets Society should be among the top 5. Astounding movie.
ОтветитьI was the 1kth like
ОтветитьAquamarine??
ОтветитьAnother good one was "Circle of Friends".
Ответить"STAND BY ME" ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьStand By Me is amazing, I remember watching at 8 years old and still holds a place with me.
I don’t know if Ferris Bueller Day Off counts as coming of age movie, but it’s my favorite teenage movie ever.
Very very great epic list I like it a lot very very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever and a lot of great movies on this great list 😊❤
ОтветитьEasy A.........filmed in the hell that was my highschool. Loved the movie, hated highschool 😢
ОтветитьWhen your 2 all time fav movies are #1 & #2 on the list
ОтветитьSome suggestions: "American Graffiti" the template for "Happy Days"; "Now and Then" is a perfect "the summer of best friends" movie; "The Summer of '42" is a sweet awkward boy story; but "The Last Picture Show" is an iconic coming of age film because it depicts the concept dramatically, comically, and socially both as the main characters grow up and as the adults have grown up in the same small town... McMurtry adapted from his finest storytelling... KDM
ОтветитьIs it bad that #1 is the ONLY one on this list I've ever seen?
ОтветитьFerris Buelleur's Day off should have been on this list along with The Sandlot.
ОтветитьBreaking Away?
Ответитьpretty in pink footloose mean girls the little rascals
ОтветитьEzra Miller’s a heavy hitter alright
ОтветитьI'm disappointed that Call Me By Your Name wasn't on the list 😢
ОтветитьWhere’s Now and Then?
ОтветитьYou forgot ferris bueler's day off and mean girls. Two coming of age classics
ОтветитьYou forgot "Now & Then" and "The Sandlot"
ОтветитьComing of age=white suburban apparently. They did throw in one token though. That was nice.
ОтветитьMissing: My Girl and All or Nothing would be in my top 5.
ОтветитьLove Simon is my favourite movie on this list. Nick Robinson is my favourite actor
ОтветитьNo 3 Idiots?
ОтветитьNo love for “Real Women Have Curves”? It was “Lady Bird” BEFORE “Lady Bird”.
ОтветитьWhere is Cinema Paradiso?!
ОтветитьStand by me.................
ОтветитьNow and Then is also a coming of age movie
ОтветитьAnytime I hear "Don't You Forget About Me" it throws me back to 9th Grade seeing The Breakfast Club in Westwood, CA.
ОтветитьThe two best coming of age movies that you missed are Empire of the Sun and This Boy's Life. Both incredible movies.
Ответитьcan't believe "Now and Then" didn't at least get an honorable mention
ОтветитьNow and Then should be on this list
ОтветитьI mean there are so many..and everyone has a personal connection to them. This is a hard list to create.
ОтветитьThe Breakfast Club is overrated. There, I said it.
ОтветитьDead Poets Society,is one of my all time favorites,it will make you cry.
ОтветитьStand By Me is my favorite Stephen King movie. Gordie’s older brother Dennis really loved him, but when Dennis died, it was like he was invisible to his parents and they barely even noticed him when Dennis was alive. What do you think if Gordie said this to them if he got them to listen to him? He says to them “I’m sorry if I’m such a burden to you. I’m sorry if I don’t feel like your son. Maybe it’s time I don’t live here anymore. You can keep all of Dennis’ things for all I care. He’s the son you actually wanted”. Gordies mom could say “Gordie, that’s not fair”. Gordie can reply back harshly “What’s not fair is that I lost the one person in my family that actually cared about me”. Remember when Gordie had a dream that during Dennis’ funeral that his dad said it should have been Gordie that died? What if Gordie said that to his mom and dad?
ОтветитьStand by Me is one of the best Stephen King stories. It takes it's simple premise, and uses it to explore some very deep themes. You really just have to see it, as words can't possibly do it justice.
ОтветитьIf you are giving recognition of old black and white movies such as The 400 Blows, than surely you could've included The Last Picture Show onto this list as well.
ОтветитьThese teen movies are incredible!
ОтветитьJuno was a brilliant film.
