Episodes 22, 25, and 26 just absolutely floored me. I've never seen my own mental health struggles portrayed so accurately and beautifully before. Asuka's mental breakdown in episode 22 is to date the most accurate depiction of a mental breakdown I've seen in media. 25 and 26 were basically me just watching my own mental health journey in art form. I have never resonated with a show more than this one. The movie was good too but it just didn't do it for me anywhere near what the original ending did. It was a cool reinterpreting of the original ending tho.
ОтветитьCongratulations!
ОтветитьQuite a good take I must say.
But my simple question is, why not both? Charakter in the Center but also a resolution for the plot?
Anno even gives us an answer, since he eventually did give us both.
That's why I see the original ending as the important prelude to the solution in End of Evangelion.
The true masterpiece is the work as a whole, since the conclusion in Anno's own character ark only really shows itself in concluding his story, beating his own demons like Shinji did in the original ending.
Anno's glasses are little AT fields
ОтветитьAm i the only one who thinks the tv ending and End of Evangelion are complementary? After watching them i can't imagine one being sufficient without the other
ОтветитьSpeculation n shit. Author’s mental health, plus creation rush, crunches, budget issue and there you have powerpoint made episodes. The re/ality.
ОтветитьThank you man. Really helped me to accept the ending of the anime. Since all the movie endings are not really helpful either, at least to me.
ОтветитьIts not a masterpiece, but it was good enough. The End of Evangelion was a masterpiece.
Ответить"end of Evangelion" don't care didn't watch+"self hatred bozo girlboss"
Ответитьwhy did they even make another one :(
ОтветитьSlight correction: Once Upon a Time in the West is an Italian film.
ОтветитьImma be honest, my heart beats, but I don't really care mentally
ОтветитьThis ending broke me, as someone who deals with a lot of mental health issues this ending just gave me a lot of hope for some reason and I always appreciate it for it which is why I prefer it over EoE
ОтветитьTo be honest, I'm scared of the ending I feel that initial dread again.
ОтветитьSir, Godzilla is a fictional monster.
ОтветитьI could of sworn I hear the abridged fuyutsuki voice
ОтветитьThe show was so intriguing I watched it in two days and wish there was a full slice of life episode .
ОтветитьCongratulations
ОтветитьSuper late to this show. Literally just decided to check it on Netflix and binged watched the entire 26 episodes in 4 days. Was expecting to watch an anime about giant mechs fighting aliens but instead got hit with deep introspective thoughts. This show is amazing
Ответитьsome times i think if they was first impact if they is this will a prefect preview
ОтветитьWell produced video good reasearch 👍
ОтветитьI hate it that people think Shinji is weak, and I think it has to do with what they expect from an anime protagonist. Evangelion deconstructs the mecha genre, and part of that is calling into question how a kid would deal with being thrown into life-or-death scenarios where they're forced to fight monsters. In other words, I think Shinji is a much more realistic portrayal than most. I'm 35, and I don't think I'd deal with it as well as Shinji. Seriously, how can anyone relax or enjoy anything when they know they could be thrust into that kind of situation at any moment? I'd be a nervous wreck, constantly! Of course Shinji ran away; the situation he's in is horrifying, and yeah, the adults around him HAVE been using him! I appreciate the realism.
ОтветитьHonestly, it just felt like a lesser, more rushed version of Doom Patrol.
ОтветитьCompare this to rebuild, i prefer the deconstruction of one’s self in episodio 25/26 it is a love letter against escapism. Instead rebuild is mostly fanservice.
ОтветитьI prefer the original ending to the movie, the movie is cool but it was painful to watch
ОтветитьMan... what the hell. I could not stand Shinji. He was a big fucking sissy and never stood up for himself until extreme moments of duress - and even then he didn't do anything through natural ability - the EVA took over every time.
I also can't stand girls hitting guys (and vice versa) - and that's something that's really big in anime, and widely accepted.
Also - I kept waiting for Shinji to have his moment - where he finally sticks up for himself and makes a man's decision and drops the hammer on an Angel and all the bitches who have been dissing him. Well he never had that reckoning - he remained a little bitch all the way through the end.
Hugely disappointed in this anime. It started good, but never really hit the mark for me.
If you don't like Episodes 25 and 26, it's simple, we can never be friends.
ОтветитьI hate Evangelion, but I'll have to agree with you, where the series should have ended
ОтветитьUsing a Persona games metaphor, Shinji is our, the audience shadowself.
ОтветитьNo its not
ОтветитьThe show is awful and you're a pretentious person lol
ОтветитьI didn't like the endings of both. Felt like there needed to be more to it. Plus shinji is still a pussy. I thought he would overcome his fears but no. Still a pussy
ОтветитьNah it sucked
ОтветитьCool movie scenes what from?
ОтветитьCongratulations! You nailed it buddy...I put off watching Evangelion for 2 decades because I ignorantly thought it was "Another Gundam"...Jeez, I was so wrong....After watching the original Series I was blown away by how fresh, Interesting and how ballsy of a move it was how the last 2 episodes played out. I had totally been expecting a knock down drag out fight or some such, and yes I was initially bewildered...but after a week or so, It just clicked I guess and I thought it was very profound....Then I watched End of Evangelion and was blown away again. I have tried to watch the new series, but the original is so good, it's hard for me to accept all of the changes.....
ОтветитьI can't tell if I prefer the episode 25-26 ending or the EoE. I feel like I prefer the original but it's maybe only because then I can tell myself that the hospital scene never happens.
Ответитьyeah true
ОтветитьI agree.
The same thing happened to me with mushoku tensei light novel.
Its end didn't solve all of the plot issues. But it was a satisfactory end for the main character. And in the end, that's what the story was telling. The life of a character.
I just finished watching the original series and End film, and I thought End picked up from the end of episode 26. Gotta rewatch it knowing that it's an alternate ending
ОтветитьI thought the ending put my repressed thoughts under scrutiny. It helped me confront my avoided feelings and I feel like I have some answers to my potential life.
ОтветитьI watched the series a couple of weeks ago, and I love the ending. Finally seeing Shinji happy and being accepted by those around him is literally the point of the Human Instrumentality Project- ultimate love and understanding of humanity. From both a story and psychological standpoint, it’s a very satisfying ending. IMO, EOE only exists as an action-packed, American cinema-style ending.
ОтветитьI think that the ending of evangelion and The End of Evangelion are both masterpieces, but the rest of the series is kinda meh. I understand that fighting the angels is a huge part of Shinji's life and all that, but why did the show have to show ALL of the fights? Couldn't the show just have shown some of the major ones and left the other ones off-screen? I don't care about some stupid robot fights! They were so boring and not that necessary. Am I missing something? Was each angel supposed to symbolize Shinji's different insecureties or something and I'm just too dumb to understand that?
ОтветитьTrash
ОтветитьTbh w/ yall i was confused af imma just stick with berserk
Ответить"He tries to do things to make other people like him more but also doesn't want the responsibility of doing those things" damn he just like me fr
ОтветитьI just binged watched and finished the whole series, alittle late to the party
I just now finished the end and I'm not really sure what to feel right now
After watching the ending rn i feel lost like i still have so many questions
ОтветитьThe original ending was probably one of few times I’ve come close to crying over a show or film
Ответить
