It doesn’t matter when videos are posted . However , if you ( as a viewer) are a fan of a particular booktuber…and you get used to their videos being posted on a certain days… then you really look forward to it. For me it’s @bobthenooker posting on a Sunday morning. I call it my Sunday service with the Reverend Bob ❤

I wish I would have kept track of my books from that early on. I have no clue why that never crossed my mind. I only kept a library journal to record the books I borrowed from there, which is cute. Apart from that I only started having reading journals (or using apps) since 2015 and I'm now close to 1300 books.

I watch your videos whenever I have the time, so I don't really care about the uploads. That said, I love watching you on a Sunday, being cosy, for sure.

The end of the year is approaching so fast! I've spotted the first indoor Christmas tree in my street today.

There's a couple of books I want to read/finish before the end of the year. One is Middlemarch. I've been reading it roughly one part every 6 weeks or so and there are 3 parts left. And some non-fiction. My year has been leaning heavily towards fiction but I do want to read / finish a couple of non fiction. One is Destiny Disrupted, history through an Islamic lens. And then either Femina (medieval history with women put back in) or 100 Nasty Women. Also halfway through The Language of Emotions, stopped at the part where the theory is over and the actual families of emotions are explained. I'm reading it to learn to recognize/deal with them, but it's a bit scary to start digging.

As for video publishing: I don't really care - I watch when I have time anyway.

I don’t mind when you post your videos I’ll catch up whenever I can. I’ve not thought about the end of the year ~eeek! Like you not been a good reading year for me. The first thing to spring to mind is Cuddy by Ben Myers. I love everything I’ve read of his particularly The Offing. I’m going to have to think about other books.

You made China Court sound so cozy and nice, I'm putting it on my TBR! And I want this edition 😍

I would really like to finish The Book of Longings by Sue Monk Kidd - I've started reading it a while ago, it's beautifully written, but I was dreading the end (🤦I know!) and so I left it midway through... I really want to toughen up and finish it, if only to read another book by Sue Monk Kidd (I also liked her The Invention of Wings very much)

I posted an end of the year tag video last week and I do find it helpful as a check in to see where I’m at and how possible it is going to be to achieve my goals! I also love watching other people’s check ins, so thank you for sharing 😊

I also don't mind what day videos are posted. I'm currently reading The Postcard by Anne Berest which is looking like a book of the year for me at the moment. I'm hoping to finish The Magic Mountain by the end of the year, but it's slow going.

I have a number of short story collections I have started and not gone back to. I say I'm going to read them slowly so they don't all run together, but then I read them too slowly. My favorite short story collection this year has been Atlanta Noir edited by Tayari Jones.

Since it’s set in the “Great War” years, that Dorothy Canfield Fisher sounds like a companion piece to your PhD reading. Concerning the statistics for your 1,000 books I think would be curious to know how many were specifically read pursuing your PhD.
Have no idea what I’ll have read by year end since there are so many distracting “breaking news” dispatches related to election insanity here in the US. 🫣 ( I hope to read The Coast Road by Paul Murrin)

Love the Mary cameo! I picked the days I aim to post videos (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday) by looking at my analytics and realizing that those are the three days most people who watch my videos tend to be online (allowing for videos to be spaced out by at least 24 hours). I had forgotten about this tag and will have to do my 2024 version, so thank you for the reminder!

I love watching End of Year Book Tag videos. I don’t mind whatever day you choose to post - I always watch them whenever I have enough time. You’ve influenced some of the books I want to get to before the end of the year. I have The Story of a Heart and The Warm Hands of Ghosts reserved from the library, which I’m looking forward to. I hope you find some great books amongst those you want to get to in the last couple of months of 2024.

China Court is lovely, especially if you look at the house as a main character!
