I personally think that friend-zone is kind of revealing that we still are in a patriarchy society where woman are mostly seen by men like a potential partner before trying to connect genuinely to the human being.
As if being friend with a woman can't be considered normal but a kind of a consolation price for losers or something...
Notice how this term is almost specific to man being in the friend zone.
For me there is no friend zone, there is only frustrated man who suffer from patriarchy injunctions

My whole life is a friendzone.

Exactly as he said in one part, if I’m friend zoning someone is not because they are too nice or too available, but because I like them but I find them incompatible as a partner and I can’t look past that despite liking them. My current partner was very nice and didn’t seem unattainable at all when we first met, and I still chose to be with them because we were so compatible. So if you’re dealing with mature people, you don’t need to be unattainable or a jerk to find a partner, in fact you scare the mature ones away that way and end up in unhealthy relationships.

Interesting video. My experience being friendzoned may be unique then. I kind of developed a low key crush on a lady at work. She was interested in me sexually at first, however I had no interest in persuing a meaningless fling that could end up with me fired, and increasingly saw we were incompatible in many other ways. I really enjoyed her company, however, so when I felt her pulling back and relegating me to the "friend zone" I went along. Problem was I couldn't just be her guy friend. No, she had to repeatedly interject into conversations how big she likes a man's package to be and I would catch her staring at my crotch from time to time. It was five years into this that I was post nasty break-up and finalizing a divorce in a couple of months when she again lets me know the measurements she insists on and how each would make her feel. Now, I am not a pushover. I command attention and respect in whatever room I enter and I had a high powered job, so it wasn't that. Truth be told I didn't care her motivations. I let her know her behavior was and had been inappropriate, insensitive (she was not aware I met the "requirements"}, and a terrible way to treat a guy friend who has never shown the slightest interest in discussing her sex life like I was one of her female friends. And then I ended it. I don't need that nonsense, and if I had to do it again I would avoid her altogether. Moral of my story is the friendzone is the worst, and even if it wasn't, I don't know that today's woman can handle it. Not signing up to find out.

10 years later and this is not only still true, it's gotten worse. Hope in 2033 it's better, or I'm at least married with kids. Having my own family is the ultimate goal, but at the rate we're going I don't know if it'll ever happen
