Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires Review after 60 Hours and ALL ACHIEVEMENTS

You talk about mount and blade, well they’ve had total war three kingdoms for like 6 years now, just fyi

The game is great have some great new features but also so many bug and terrible features

Good new features :
-have special interaction between a family or a love ones
-have a parents syst
-have a great design from combination of two characters from parents

Bad or some bug features :
-To many cut scene in the battlefield (zoom to an officers or creation officers when they finally meet)
-Can slow mo attack on all enemies (finishers makes the battle and time taking to long)
-in chaos mode it is almost impossible to win (enemies have a very high health even with your high level and an epic artifacts it wont help)
-your base might not survive (your allies cant even defend one base)
-Your officers might stand still not doing anything (your command on the officers still doesn't do anything, but only the accompanying will work)
-enemies to much respawning (very annoying they just keep respawning even in at 100 Morales in the enemy team)
-Sometimes the horse just stuck to an invincible wall when there is no wall there

What a bummer. Rarley do Dynasty Warriors games go on sale on xbox store and i was so close to buying it 35% off. I did not play any of 8 and very little of 7. Loved 3 & 4.

Hearing all the bad i guess ill wait until 10

Unfortunately, I am dropping the franchise, loved the ps2 era games, some of the favourites but now it's just a cash grab without actual effort behind. Dlcs are robberies and Empires were my favourite thing. I won't hesitate to drop a franchise if I don't see effort and have done it with Borderlands too. Sad coz I have so many great memories

I actually took a look today and saw the price being like 30 bucks where i live. So i did order it cause i think thats the right amount of price for a game like this

So Just Get DW8 Empires?

What are some better titles that would satisfy that DW itch? Dw9 empires is like a drug to me im about to waste another vacation day playing it after I type this? Im not a real gamer tho and you make some valid points the same points most ppl who really know how a great game should be. Im always going play DW titles. Its actually hard for me to believe that there are similar games out there that I would enjoy even more.
So finally after about 20 yrs Im finally willing to branch out.
Im already getting wu fallen kingdom or watevr its called. Id really appreciate your best suggestions plz and thankyu.

The reason they chocked out 8 Dynasty Warriors games with practically the same gameplay succesfully is due to the simple gameplay/story and grind and the empire modes.. 9 and 9 empires was a bit too ambitious..

The PS5 version (upgrade) is on sale for $13.99. Is it worth THAT much, at least?

It's fun but not Worth the price if was cheaper it's a fun 40 70 hours of gameplay but it's not like 8 or 7 that you can play for 100 300 hours in the recent Kori sale I picked the 8

KOEI had to take a look of the states of games nowadays. They try to do things without doing it properly, this is what you don't want with a open world. It's giant but empty, lack of missions or things to do. Difficult mod are the same, it's just about Officer having tons of HP and tons of damage, nothing about the paterns. Also, they retire some of the option when u're not in the army or in a Kingdom, like Assassination, stealings ect... that were on DW8 Empires and added a lil bit of options. The only great things that i see in this one is the big improvement on the design and physics of the characters, huge improvement for a Japanese studio who generaly lack of creating realistics physics. Sadly with a poor selling mindset, they put DLC with costumes instead of giving it free like people will pay 3$ for 2 costumes.. Come on... Also, no wonder why Modders don't even interested in this game, if i said characters physics are nice, well environments feels very ugly and i think that it comes from the graphic motors that they using. DW10 is out, but i think they only have 2 shots left to do something or the Dynasty will end because lot of video games propose way more quality content. I really rooted for KOEI because this game gives me nostalgia, but i have to admit that after 30H, if i deleted it then i won't miss anything. Anyway, u made a great resume of this game.

So for someone new to the series, I should avoid this?
