These are going for upwards of $399 now, yeesh! XD
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьYour videos make me smile but this makes me laugh so much ... I have long ago learnt that there is a very fine line between spending enough time to learn how to get the best from a piece of music gear and realising your wasting your life on false prophecies of good marketing and bad gear..
ОтветитьCan I disable one step and have 31 sequencer bass line?
ОтветитьI came back! I bought one! Do the update review everyone is asking for. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe TB-3 is a crowd pleaser, I frequently play live EDM music for my friends an when I feel I'm losing them with fancy music ideas and advanced synthesis, I just press play on the synced TB-3 with a 4 on the floor beat and 16th note hihats and its acid party time!
ОтветитьFilthy, like the remote control in a 3 star hotel room 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьNice, have you done a video on your favourite effects pedals?
Peace from OZ
What made you come around to this? I managed to snag one at a very good price and they proved to be a bit harder to track down, and in a price I like. It seems to be a cornerstone of your sound, in these videos at least.
ОтветитьMine is definitely in the "never ever sell" category for me.
ОтветитьI feel like it would be worthwhile to do a follow-up video on the TB-3! This video is almost outdated now, we know how much you love the TB-3 these days 😉
ОтветитьIn this episode, a true love is found.
ОтветитьIts hilarious how hard you trash the TB-3 in this video but then use it in all your videos
Ответитьroland tb3 or tb03? which would you recommend?
ОтветитьBut we see this in almost every track you do. What is it about it that makes it indispensable to you? The roland grime under essentially accessible control?
Ответить😂just found this ......but now you like Margret?😂😂😂
Ответить"I still don't like the TB-3"
That aged like milk
The TB-3 reminds me of the JazzMutant Lemur Multitouch Modular Controller!😅
ОтветитьBig up Sammy the crab, that cameo must have cost you a fortune! 🦀
ОтветитьDon't you owe the TB-3 an apology at this point? 😁
ОтветитьRoland renewed the TB-3 for another production run this year, so either they only make 50 at a time or it's more popular than most people think.
Just wondering if the 3 or the GAIA will last longer at this point.
i dont like the TB-3, i like The TB-303 but the TB-3 feels more like roland trying to fight againsts brands like cyclonic
ОтветитьWhile this episode is very good you have come a long way.
ОтветитьHey Florian, it's your monthly reminder to do the Throwback episode for the much loved TB-3. :D
ОтветитьQuestion: I’m loving my TB-3, and I’m extra in love with the little foam feet pads they used, especially when using the touch pad. You know a source for those? It’s like it’s on a cloud. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
ОтветитьBy all means, this is bad gear that you can tweak to sound pretty gnarly and cool. I run mine through a sherman filterbank.
ОтветитьIt's fun to revisit this video two years later, knowing how integral the TB-3 has become to the jams on the show!
ОтветитьSorry for that absolutely dumb question, but where you got all those funny visuals from?
They are crazy and good af, hahaha
I've noticed you tend to use this thing somewhat frequently in the jam portions of your more recent Bad Gear vids. Have your thoughts on the TB-3 changed any over time?
Ответитьso this is now one of your fave pieces of gear...
ОтветитьTbf It seems this has become a favourite of yours.
Ответитьwait arnt you in love with this thing? didnt come across like that in this video
ОтветитьI was listening to Cirrus's "Stop and Panic" just now and was reminded of this. You made a legit old-school acid track.
ОтветитьI like this thing for the sounds and features in a tactile form.
ОтветитьTouchboy TB3 is grown on you in those years uh? I see it in a lot of jam right now😂
ОтветитьOn my TB-3, half of the touchscreen simply doesn't work. That means you can't program patterns with it, which means the only way to use it is to let it generate its own random patterns.* Now THAT'S the true spirit of the 303! ;)
*It just wants some creative input and has firm boundaries, which I respect.
I thought this was a new season of "The IT Crowd" 😂
Just as entertaining. Clearly your "professionalism" standards are much higher 🥳
The TB-3 is ugly!
But once said that. His workflow is easy, his sequence too.
The ACB offers a good reproduction of the 303.
In short, is it just happiness? I'm keeping it and maybe buying a second one. 🙂
I used the TB-3 in many productions and live performances. I got some odd comments on it from a TB-303 owner calling its sound "plasticky". I think most people won't be able to tell the difference to the original in a blind test. But since it's digital with a touch screen and it has a green border, it must sound like pure plastic, right? Noting here, that the original TB-303's case wasn't made of metal, either.
ОтветитьYeah having owned a 303 in the late 90s where you could find them at pawn shops, it was totally chaotic neutral. You just had to twist knobs and push buttons and had to pray it would do something cool. Its the ultimate punk instrument. Who cares if its a rompler, its the ghost dad we need
ОтветитьI love it!
ОтветитьThe dancing crab really sold it for me~
ОтветитьTurn the cut off and resonance down and you’ve got a decent bass synth to complement a real 303 clone
ОтветитьI find it so amusing that, despite disliking the TB-3, you've ended up using it regularly in your videos. Have you warmed up to it?
Ответить
