It's a very cool feature. 1. Will it replace designers? Well the only caveat that us humans have over ai is that we have emotions and can sympathetically respond to a brief. With the rate of development currently with ai, I think it will be a matter of time when that happens. Will it help? Yeah definitely, its a fantastic easy tool. 3. Ethical implications? Well what pool of imagery is this tool using? Who knows. My thoughts are it's this good at this stage. The fear of it replacing our jobs will probably come more to life over the next 2 years.
Ответитьgood
ОтветитьPhotos used to be for capturing a memory
Now its about making up the perfect idea of one
Is this feature already out or still in beta mode? Insane feature btw!
ОтветитьThe future gonna be scaryyy! 💀👻
ОтветитьYou even don’t need any AI to swap the Mona Lisa’s head with that of a dog in PS. Anyway, not an example of good taste.
ОтветитьI bet artists said this 'no more artists will be needed' when cameras came along! This software is amazing and its just the beginning
Ответитьprops to the Adobe marketing division
ОтветитьI have the latest version of photoshop but can't find this feature, what about it?
Ответитьdoes this available in all adobe photoshop plans ? ex : the photography plan ( PS and LR)
ОтветитьPeople never hire graphic artist again ? 😢
ОтветитьI’ve already been incorporating the new AI’s into my design classes. To me it has the potential to be a major boon and tool for our industry.
ОтветитьWhat makes me happy about this is that adobe is actually using images from their own library instead of scraping the internet and stealing other’s work.
Ответитьthe feature seems to be greyed out for me atm , any idea as to why ?
ОтветитьAI is the beginning of the end, It promotes godlessness
ОтветитьI think that manual work is extremely important. It helps everyone to develop, it creates problems that are very interesting to overcome. Now I'm really, really scared that manual methods to transfer creativity into some kind of work will get depreciated. My hobbies are currently programming and 3d modelling, and I'm worried that I won't be able to make a living doing this. At the same time, it's fascinating and wonderful for most of the people. I'm feeling lost
ОтветитьI think this is how AI should have been used in the first place, as a tool to improve your own workflow. Instead of doing everything for you.
ОтветитьWelp, guess Im going to start looking for a new career
ОтветитьDoes graphic design require a lot of hand drawing? Never drawn/sketched on paper before. When i first got into drawing a few years ago, I just jumped straight in with my tablet, redesigning movie logos. I've since then gotten ingo making digital posters too. So drawing by hand is something i would like to experiment with someday. Does graphic design also require a lot of math? And if both of these are a yes, does that mean i should just not go into the profession at all?
ОтветитьOh finally!
This studio is my favorite!
Adobe Ai bot Loading.....
ОтветитьI personally find this "instant" society stressful and this ai tool reinforces this. Although it is impressive, we are losing the core human nature of patience and skill.
Great video Will.
The end of creativity and dedication 😢
ОтветитьI have a ton of respect and admiration for you as a creative and an entertainer, but I feel every single take on AI you've expressed has been incredibly shortsighted.
AI tools like this are indisputably bad for anyone trying to make or continue a career as a designer. The massive boost in productivity you mention over and over will reduce turnaround times, the needed expertise, and as a result cut the bottom 90% of designers out of the field.
It will become exponentially harder to make a living wage off of design as artists have their work valued less, get paid a fraction of current rates, and get replaced more and more.
It's a race to the bottom here, and while you're confident in your own job security given your standing as a respected designer and video creator, you can't just look at it through that very self-focused myopic lens while talking about how amazing AI will be for designers.
And don't even get me started on how all these models are trained on stolen art.
Totally disagree, this is the end of professional designer for many reasons, and not just of them. And it’s scary to see that you apparently do not see it, or unconsciously deny it. There’s no need of you (especially in a short time, when it will be surely even better implemented) if a person x can just write what they want, endlessly, until they get it. And the world is full of “that’s good enough” already, just imagine how useless you’ll become when results will be even better and faster. Same applies to writers, copyrighters, journalists and the list goes on and on. The illusion of a better side for this AI implementation is actually delusional or naive.
ОтветитьEveryone is going to be living a "rich" lifestyle now😅😅
ОтветитьIt is paid?
ОтветитьFascinating and scary at the same time. It opens a door for more people to become creative but also undermines the genuine old school digital artist…
ОтветитьThis gave me anxiety ngl. I feel that losing the learning curve, the skills, the craftsmanship that we need for good design/illustration/composite is really sad. More simplifying stuff? Yes! One click do all? Boring and sad.
ОтветитьHOLY COW
ОтветитьWow. This is going to be fun!! Can’t wait to update and mess with it!!
ОтветитьThey can now charge more and just say, i put alot of effort & time in this so i will charge more🥲🥲🥲
ОтветитьThank you for expressing your optimism. The usual knee jerk ludditism has been a bit annoying, this was refreshing, especially coming from a designer.
ОтветитьThis is absolutely mind blowing! But the scary part is that it might be hard to know what’s real anymore
ОтветитьYeah. I can't stop fooling with it! Vundebar!
ОтветитьThey are 9 months late (which is generations in AI space). Stable diffusion was able to do all that last summer. Its very primitive compared to where stable diffusion is today with ControlNet, Dreambooth/LORA and tons of additional extensions and parameters to get better results. All completely free and open source.
ОтветитьOnce ChatGPT is able to apply created content to possibly template based layouts with fonts is when a portion of designers will lose their jobs.
ОтветитьI went to an AI in San Fran a few weeks with and one of the head execs was there about an AI discussion and he said they plan on basing the dataset off of their stock imagery for Firefly
ОтветитьVery interesting! as a side note: what music did you use for this video?
ОтветитьThis is what I've been waiting for. I thought Firefly's beta was going to be like this, extremely experimental with a lot of bugs, but amazing potential. Instead it was an incredibly underwhelming and less capable clone of existing generative image AI tools. Not sure why they sent this feature straight to Photoshop, but it's definitely far more interesting. It's going to be completely insane when similar features are added to Illustrator and After Effects.
It doesn't matter if you like it or not. It seems obvious that this is what all forms of digital design are going to look like in the future.
This is how people thought photoshop worked years before😂
Ответитьthis is great!
ОтветитьIt’s crazy 😮
ОтветитьWhen I got into design back in 2006, I was obsessed with learning how to do photo-manipulations. It’s exciting and scary that it’s become a literal click of a button.
ОтветитьFor designers this is awesome! A lot easier and faster than combining/designing images yourself. But it's also easier for people who deliberately want to spread misinformation. Just like deepfake and such, that's the scary part of it...
ОтветитьHow will this impact our careers as designers? I don't see much future for us to be honest... For me it disturbs the creative process by not allowing the brain to come up with innovative solutions. Graphic design will be more about planning and implementing, rather than actually experimenting and enjoying the process. F*** AI!!
ОтветитьI think it’s a tool and till it becomes a true problem in whatever form that maybe we need to take advantage of the technology.
ОтветитьIt's 2023; brush pressure sensitivity options still have no pressure curves but we have this AI trash...
Ответить
