Thank you for making this video. If I use the X2 now in 2023 as a starting 360 camera for virtual tours do you think it’s a bad idea? I can’t afford a mirror less camera and think this 360 camera with a wide angle lens Evan help with virtual tour and regular photos as well. What are your thoughts?

when I take a 360 photo with the X3, the image is distorted, the lines are never straight. Is there a fix, or is this a problem with the 360 photos from the Insta X3 ?

@benclaremont Why does Insta360 Studio only export folders vs. individual files. No matter how I try to export a merged image, it delivers it inside a folder.

I heard the Insta 360 1-inch overheats... is this true? I've seen it record for 45-50mins in 6k 360 indoors before it overheated. I wonder how well it'll do recording outdoors in the sun here in Florida...

Hi Ben, I have a question regarding 360 photo animation in Insta360 Studio. If I open a Pureshot DNG file captured with a Insta360 X3 in the Studio program, I can animate it into a film to pan around in 360 degrees. This works vey well. However, I would first like to process the dng file in Topaz Denoise and photoshop, then open it in Studio, and then do the 360 degree animation. But the program does not allow the animation because of missing meta data, that is probably changed by the 3rd party software. Is there a way around this to make it work? Any advise will be appreciated. Kind regards. Wynand

I bought an insta 360 rs 1-inch camera myself and do matterport tours. It seems to me that matterport does not fully support 1-inch rs yet, since the photos inside the tour are of poor quality and glare, although the photos on this camera are wonderful ... they say on their website that they will support it soon, wait ... Hi ! I followed the instructions but after adjusting the colors, all the jpgs show an ugly seam line .. What happened ? I tried the changes on the jpeg and it does not happen, problem just on the dng. @Ben Claremont Let me point out that I use insta360 x3. I'm just about to add virtual tours to my real estate business.The agents I work with are very keen for having floorplans. I know you didn't cover that here but I'm wondering if it's possible for the hosting services (or some oter bit of software)to produce these from the 360 camera data, Or exactly how thats down without matterport?

Using the Insta360 nano, OneX, now OneX3, the latest Insta360 is a huge disappointment to me, especially in the manageability of the workflow with PureShot. Aside from the annoyance that Exif date and location data appears to be missing (they are found in the file names though), depending of what you shoot, the files are named completely different, creating a mess organizing the shots The settings in the camera are a nightmare to control, as they are slightly different in each and some keep previous settings, some don't. Finally, depending what mode was selected, you get totally different edit options in the studio software. It is really like each shooting mode was developed by a different team which do not communicate with each other.
It is even so, that 8K timelapse can not even be viewed on camera, neither on the iPhone. One needs a computer to check and work on those.
Especially for PureShot, editing options are mainly absent in the studio software. For the others, the some options like ColorPlus are sometimes there, sometimes not. Major popular 3rd party software like DxO does not know the DNG format of the X3. It is a huge disappointment. Can't say more than that.

Thoughts on HDR merging then color correcting the fisheyes first, then Stitching?

Thank you for the video. In small apts it's ok but in outdoors and big halls without timeshift (taking photos with only one lens) is very hard. Do you know why insra360 couldn't think about this option and makes our life harder?
I still wonder between z1 and 1 inch

Thaaank you! One question for your next video about g street view: Have always problems to adjust the direction of an 360° shot when edited in phosothop. How can the direction be set in street view? Normaly it's set 180° false. Thank you in advance :)
