Hey, when I'm sidechaining my kick with the eq there's no gain reduction. Why is that? The snare's fine. Couldn't I also just sidechain by finding how long the kick is and setting that as the release for the compressor, without eq?

Where did that little whistle/flute sample come from?

this compressor is crap, pops and clicks even with 20ms attack, with that sidechain, its impossible to use that plugin, it destroy the bass complete. I use gatekeeper, no pops , no crisps, everything smooth

If you were adding snares kicks and hi hats to a sustained hip hop sample, would the sidechain filter types you chose be the same for each instrument? Or would they just be the hexagon type filter for a particular frequency?

Why is it that when I use a sidechain compressor in peak mode, I get a bunch of clicking artifacts?

Where do you drop the compressor, in the master or on the audio track for your drums? Also are your drums separated out for example kicks on one track, snares on another? Na mean? New to ableton and push 2 so sorry for the noob question. Tryna master this.
