How to FIX Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Not Launching Battle.net!

Tried everything for hours on other people’s videos. Nothing.

Followed this guide and it worked like a charm.

dont run this as a compatibility mode windows 8 there is no reason to do this

does anyone know how to fix my cod when I press play on battle net I would see the little image it gives u before u load into the game and its doesn't move after that it just sticks on that and my cod doesn't even close when I try to end it in task manager I have tried everything if someone can help me that would be great.

both did not work for me. battlenet would launch the game but freezes on loading screen. it happened after season 2 reloaded update, it happens to both warzone 1 and 2. I downloaded the game on steam and it worked but my account on battlenet. I dont know what else I can do.

Mine says I have to update it but when I scan for updates it says it’s up to date..

I’m having the strangest problem.. it just started happening after i installed the season 2 update. The game gets all the way to the beginning cinematic of the new season and then it crashes. EVERY TIME. Haven’t played one game yet because I can’t get passed that first video. Anyone got any pointers that could help me out? I factory reset my PC, reinstalled drivers , move file locations, tried launching in administration, changing to windows 8. I’ve literally tried everything. HELP!

I FIGURED IT OUT GUYS!!! All you have to do is move your steam and call of duty files to another location like where all your window files are at and then just restart your pc and the game should launch. Trust me!!

first time i had this issue i reinstalled windows to fix it after doing everything else. this is the second time this has happened and im not looking forward to reinstalling windows again. i just did it yesterday...

I've done all that and nothing worked, when I click play I open the task manager and I can see the game starting and then closing, I'm really upset because this game was absurdly expensive here in Brazil, I even opened a ticket for the refund and until now, nothing.
I have a pentium gold 5400 (8th generation), 8gb of ram, gtx 960 4gb a 1tb hd and a 120gb ssd for windows system.
no matter how simple my configuration is, I played warzone among other good games, this mw2 is having a lot of problems, I'll wait to see if I can get my refund, if I can't and just wait for them to release a patch with correction, I'm really upset.

I'm running xeon x5650. From what I've found I cannot run the game since my cpu isn't capable of AVX instructions. So I just Financed a new build from metapc. hopefully that fixes this bug fml

nothing still freezes when I join a game

I managed to fix mine by modifying the install and deleting Co-op and Warzone

I had the same problem in steam that the game would not launch and after seeing this video I can see I’m gonna have the same problem in battle net also

How about battlenet not opening?
