We have a funny conservative spin in Poland right now, which is kinda oposite but the same as Lindel's case, because a private right wing TV station (supported and owned in part by the largest conservative party) is having companies that bought ad time pulling out because of antisemitic and anti-immigrant remarks of a couple of the presenters. The companies that are forced to still have their ads displayed (because of ongoing contracts) are using these time slots for anti-hate speech ads. And right now that TV station and that party are crying about suppressing freedom of speech, politicizing news (like u fokin wot m8) and boycoting the companies that pulled the ads, such as Ikea and so on (and of course, most of the furniture used on the sets are... you guessed it, from IKEA). They paint themselves as saviours of democracy. It's so funny and so ridiculous.

I don't know where did you get that idea about true crime channels, but many of those I watch work directly with families of the victims and reach out for permission to share a piece of personal information or for comments.
