I've followed the exact same settings, except all my photos are white and extremely over exposed. Even with exposure compensator down to -3
ОтветитьThank's for the video and inspiration. What is the hand strap you are using?
ОтветитьYou inspired me to do this on my next walk!
ОтветитьHaas would have pioneered digital if he had been alive later
Ответитьso Ernest shot film... you are chimping
ОтветитьNice.very nice
ОтветитьMe likey
ОтветитьExciting experience really great
ОтветитьMotion blur in color doesn't work...
Ответитьas a fellow introverted photographer, your channel is always source of great tips and understading some of the struggles we may share
ОтветитьAnother great venue for this type of shots is in parts of cities in China town districts, lots of unique colors and blur bring great shots.
ОтветитьLoved the content. Would love to see you discuss current icons like Joshua Jackson, Sean Tucker, etc. Dissecting their technique would be amazing content
ОтветитьPlease may I ask what Font / Typeface you used for your "Kodak Kodachrome" Text Title Overlay? Thanks
ОтветитьGlad to see Ernst Haas appear on your vlog, he worked with the film knowing what would happen, some slide film was designed to work with the slowest shutter speed of a second, but he would go as far as 10 seconds, and the result was crazy colours. He was a Master Photographer and he worked with Magnum.
ОтветитьAnother type of photography that I have to try along with night photography ! Thanks Faisal, I have plenty to keep me busy & hopefully inspired.
ОтветитьI'm trying to find a video like this but with film photography. I have a class assignment to take the basically same photo of motion blur and frozen motion, but I'm finding the SLR is limited to doing that in the same light. Well, I haven't seen the results of what I've tried so far, but I have a feeling my contact sheet will be all over and under exposed photos.
ОтветитьNot to be picky, but I believe I kept hearing Ernest, while I believe his name is prounced as a single syllable.
Ответитьvery informative thankyou ! love the shot with the big red blurred blob
ОтветитьGreat work 😍
ОтветитьFaizal, thank you so much for these uploads. I have read about this technique many years ago but never tried it. New subscriber here from Cebu Island, Philippines.
ОтветитьDon't know if anyone else has mentioned this but if you move the ovf/evf lever to the right and hold for 2 seconds, this activates the ND filter obviating the need to assign a button.
ОтветитьThe wide angle shots are naff, sorry. When you put the teleconverter lens on, that' when the magic begins to happen.
ОтветитьI love this technique. I can’t wait to try it out. Thank you
ОтветитьWould be nice if you showed your hand movements -
ОтветитьIncredibly nice work! 👍
ОтветитьReally enjoyed the experience, well done!
ОтветитьExcellent work! And I loved your choice of music for the video. It really matches your aesthetic.
ОтветитьYou got some beauties! Glad to hear you say you will keep trying this technique, certainly inspired me!
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved this video. Made me realize I need to step away from my style a bit to do some things I’m not used to. I’ll give this a shot.
Also, you use Lightroom to edit? I’m a Fuji user but read about how lightroom doesn’t process Fuji raw files correctly and should instead use capture one.
Enjoyed your video and examples - I find it is even better at night with the light trails from car lights particularly - results can be quite random and special.
ОтветитьHow about with a Sony HX90V?
ОтветитьI've been bingeing your videos and they're great! Going out with a theme or limitation in mind is an excellent way to make you think creatively.
ОтветитьFaizal Westcott. That is such a cool name.
ОтветитьCool 👍 vidéo
Ответитьanyone recognise the apple loops in the sound track?
ОтветитьSettings used? Having a hard time with overexposure.
Ответитьoi this looks nothing like his photos, check my profile pano photo out !
I had Haas in my ears singing ''take this one for me bro''
yeah u c now?
I think however longer lenses work better for capturing motion and thats what he did,
your 23 mm is not going to capture that much motion. so if you start stepping wrong you can never fly ! :D
Agree. I typically feel more fulfilled when i go out to shoot with a purpose or theme or location. Keep it up
ОтветитьVery nicely done.
ОтветитьMotion blur with a subject in focus would be so badass. Great video
ОтветитьGreat topic
ОтветитьFantastic, Faizal! Really fascinating!!!
ОтветитьWhat's your setting?
ОтветитьSo you got an analog camera with display? :o knew to this world of photography and didn’t know this existed
ОтветитьI love the abstraction that can be generated with this technique 🙌
ОтветитьNice try
