5 Things to Do for the New Sales of Freight Forwarder!

The best salesman in this industry is the one who has operational experience no doubt in my opinion. I started my career as a cargo agent for one of UK's largest freight handlers, and was promoted to a supervisor position within 6 months looking after 14 international airlines back in 1999, but against all odds I've left that post on the basis that gaining further knowledge in the industry by working for freight forwarder and international airlines would exceed the benefit of longevity working for a handler. The gamble paid off, I became a top salesman for an international airline thanks to my operational skills. Whatever issues potential customers had, I would quickly relate to them, and offer solutions to secure their business. 75% of the success lies in the preparation!! do your homework right before visiting new clients. Being honest is a mark of a good salesman, nothing fancy, say it as it is. so your personal qualities will also play a big role in securing business.
One advice even though there are many, is always under promise and over deliver! not the other way round.
