Dexter: Original Sin season 1 episode 6 reaction and review: Who took Aaron's son?

Guys Dexter Resurrection has started filming and they have brought back Harry Batista but also they have brought back annoying Harrison. Just why do that to us? when i think we can all agree his character was the worst part of New Blood. I wanted that character and story to be done ☹️

There are definitely 2 killers in my opinion, one is killing children, and the other is responsible for the 3 murders so far😊

I think Harry had the boat slip in the OG (Deb mentioned it once) so he may have bought The Slice of Life. 😊

Camille said she would lend him her boat in the episode.

He was offered the boat from Camilla so im assuming he starts that portion of his ritual because of the crime scene issue

Think Dempsey used this opportunity to kill his wife. He knows his son isn't in danger. Then when he saves him he's a hero. I don't know why I want it to be him.

I think Aaron Spencer himself beat his wife which he didn’t seem to stand her in the previous episode and took his son

I really think anyone at Miami Metro can be ruled out. Too high profile.

When they introduced Aarons son we knew he was going to get kidnapped...I hope it's Brian, and I hope they have multiple seasons of him.. I loved him in the books... It'll be great to see him working along side Dexter in the background. I love this show... I could do 5 seasons of it.... They really put alot if work in it. Hopefully they finally know we just Dexter to live on and stop having bad endings.. I want to see old Dexter in a nursing home offing people....

Definitely think Gio is the son of the drug cartel guy and is the one kidnapping the kids in order to take the son away from the people that took the father away from him. Though its kind of contrived, he is likely with Deb to either get to her or Dexter. Suspect its the reason Deb decided to pursue police work after school.

As far as Brian Moser - I think he's behind the case LaGuerta and Harry are working and it will either go unsolved and we'll just see a reveal of it being him in the last episode or two, or Harry will figure out who it is but not take any action, either out of guilt over Brian's mother and/or to protect Dexter. Expect Aaron to retire to be with his family after his son is recovered, which will bring in Matthews.

My bold prediction is the big twist is going to be that Harry didn't actually kill himself.

we know nothing about SMG's backstory or background, esp about how long she has been in her current position at Miami PD and or how she arrived there. possible that at some point she had been a deranged doctor or other mental health professional who treated Brian when he was institutionalized and is now mentoring/nurturing his psychopathy on the outside? p.s. this is kind of random, but I live on a boat, a houseboat on Lake Ontario. I do it because I didn't want to pay Toronto prices for a brick and mortar home, where the entry price for a starter home is $1M like all my friends have done and are now 'housepoor' with staggering mortgages and not nearly enough disposable income with which to invest or enjoy a fun life outside of their houses. anyway my point is to caution folks who only see the romanticism and idk edgy cool factor of living on a boat when they see it on Dexter and other shows. it is HARD WORK. crazy hard work, especially in winter. you have to be handy, you have to know basic mechanics (at the very least) and you have to know how to DO stuff, and who in your boating community to lean on when you don't know how to do something. and even then there is a Very Steep learning curve. yes it's absolutely great once you get the hang of it, but it can be very costly and even dangerous if you are not prepared or if you f*ck it up, so if you're young and fed up with home prices, PLEASE don't just up and buy a boat as your permanent domicile just cuz it's affordable and kinda cool, cuz it amounts to pretty much learning a whole new way to live. just saying

They do mention Brian in the flashbacks (lizard tails).. so who knows. Plus ice truck Easter eggs … mystery guy asking about the seat… it’s all breadcrumbs to smth bigger later one 😏

I'm not sure they give us what we want ( the Brian content) so early on in the show. I think they'll draw that out if they choose to even explore that avenue. Kinda similar to when you guys reviewed Raising Kanan. Everyone wanted them to introduce Breeze, Ghost and Tommy. Season 5 starts soon and they still havent introduced those mainstay characters.

Did anyone notice the big easter egg when Dexter was hunting his target. When crossing street he was blocked by a ice truck like Bryan used in season one of Dexter. When it drove in front of dexter it gave a Suttle beep.

I can't find anything about if Original Sin has been renewed yet? I have a feeling they could do at least 4 or 5 seasons. Similar to Better Call Saul was to Breaking bad.

my guess so far is that there's a gambling ring going on, tanya's involved, the judges are involved which is why the one judge asked about it, and patrick dempsey knew something about it who was doing it kind of. i kind of think thought tanya did the first family killing instead of reed because she told dempsey to booty up and they mentioned whoever did the crime left no prints they wore booties, tanya robbed the family because she needed gambling money things to sell to pay off debts? somebody's crooked! another possibility is early trinity killer because hes getting 10 year old boys???

I think Aaron may NOT be the father of his "Son Nickie." 14 year affair and the kid is not 14 as far as i can tell.
I think the kid will be killed and this secret comes out through DNA testing and Captain Aaron resigns or dies to end his character.
Jess may be right about Brian being the new serial killer! The boys may be the Trinity killers first victims and will go unsolved, or it is Gio because he is part of the cartel and needed to get close to the police through Deb.

It is not Tana and Aron are not the killers. They could work 10 years and quit for Miami Metro and leave the Dexter verse. So they are not in the original Dexter.

He cut him up in the outside of the house and he tells Harry I got him for you. MCH played it more innocent that the new Dexter. This new Dexter is to sure of him self.

He is there for one year. We don’t know if there is only one season.

The hitman's death is felony murder by Florida's law. Harry knew so he worried the driver or a neighbor might have seen Dexter.

I’m loving the theory that Brian is behind it all!! The dual origin story is actually brilliant and adds a whole new level and depth and again even more justification to produce this series in the first place!

I think y'all are being impatient. Characters like Sarah Michelle Gellar's character could be on the entire prequel series and still be gone before the timeline and the original show. This is 1991

There's a clue on the show that backs up a connection between Tanya and Brian Moser. She went to school at the University of South Florida. USF is located in Tampa. You can tell she went to USF because there is a USF warm-up jacket hanging on the wall in her office. There was also an interaction between Tanya and Dexter that her daughter isn't as good at basketball as she was, implying that she played basketball in college. When Laura Moser died, Brian was sent to an orphanage or a foster home in Tampa. I'm betting she and her husband adopted Brian Moser, and she's Brian's Harry.

This episode was an improvement. But... every time the young version of Debra Morgan opens her filthy mouth it's just an complete annoyance. It's like being around someone that disrespectfully burps loud. I get it already... she's Debra #@$%ing Morgan! It worked well for Jennifer Carpenter because she was true eye candy. But it doesn't work for this young version that doesn't look anything like the OG Debra Morgan.

It also adds credence to what Brian said to Dexter in the OG series that he had been watching him for a while..

I think someone at the crime scene from Miami metro will recognize Dexter and be like " oh thanks for coming, can you analyze this crime scene"?

I think Brian is the nhi killer. I’m rewatching this ep & the flashbacks of the killings show a watch on the killers wrist. Looks just like the one Brian was wearing in ep 2. Also, I think they’ll flash to his perspective of those killings when they reveal it’s him.

Camilla offered to lend her boat to Dexter because “it’s a great way to impress a girl.”
I guess Dexter will be borrowing the boat using that excuse.
