well done but you should take your hand off the gear lever after you shift as you could prematurely wear out the transmission by snapping a selector fork or wearing down the dog clutch collar (which could potentially lead to further transmission trouble).

2017 Yaris was the last year to get a Canadian Yaris Manual-T without the HSA (Hill Starter Assist)!

the cam vision is good, i bought a yaris five days ago, its a really nice car. greetings from chile.

Apparently the revised 1.4 diesel engine put on the 2009 - 2011 YARIS and on the later gen has noticeable better acceleration than the older 2006 - 2008 engine , same 90 hp but torque was increased from 140 to 151 ! I wish we had a diesel option here in Canada - only the 1.5 gas available here -

How to drive manual transmission?

I owned a 2012 Yaris III 1.33 99HP, driven a 2008 Yaris II 1.33 85HP and now I own a 2006 Yaris 1.0 73HP. What I can tell you is that the avg consumption on all of them was almost the same. With a tank of 42L I got a mixed of 500-600Km. Both the older and newer 1.33 were great, with the newer being more refined but essentially the same car. I ignored the design, as for me the reliability and driving is more important. I had to sell both because I needed money quick. I bought the 1.0 in mint condition for 2650eur. The 1.0 3 cylinder is a little bit noisier and definitely not as powerful as the 4 cylinder 1.33, yet driving in town 50kmh and outside 90kmh feels like the 1.33. Only at motorway speeds at 110-130kmh you definitely feel the "struggle" Well, not entirely true. I drive mostly max 120kmh and when alone, even the motorway seems fine. Driving 4 people and luggage makes it very hard to praise. So nippy at everything bellow 100kmh. That said, it manages even 150kmh. I asked like 20 people online who sold the 1.0 Yaris II about their experiences and all said that though its not for highway suited, they all drive it there 120kmh easy with people and some said they only drive 150kmh mostly with....and this is what blew my mind, over 500,000 Km on the ODO meter!!!! They said the only servicing was the usual at any car, no flaws what so ever. So I took mine for a spin many times and can say that even though you feel the 1.0 is a city car, you are always surprised at what it can do. PS - I spent 2650eur on it with the next cheapest and in good condition 1.33 was about 4000eur. For the cca 1300eur I got my kitchen and living room remade!!!

We got a yaris petrol mk1 From 2005, and the steering dont self centre and is nervous at highway speed, how is it in the mk2, does the steering self center to the middle by it self?

the car gorgeous but i dont understand why the speed meter at the middle ? how am i supoosed to focus n the sreet and looking at the middle to watch my speed at the same time !

Looks worse, than older generations (like 2003 etc). Gas pedal looks like it does have lag, which is bad.

I had a 09 just like this one for four years. I wish really bad that I still had it.

Why wont the car go beyond 2000-3000 rpm? I have same car and it accelerates really slow and wont go over 2000 rpm
