DuckDuckGo vs Google | Does Your Search Engine REALLY Matter???

Different search engines can give different results, so I wouldn't recommend to use only one search engine.

Use a variety of search engines. There are countless search engines on the Internet. There are even new AI search sites like Perplexity AI, You AI, and iask AI.

After you copied the first link, where did you paste it? to see what's going on behind the scenes.

Google is hella-powerful and makes you feel like it's legit, but it's all over you... while DuckDuckGo is warm and private, like family... Hmm, I think that I'm going to stick with Google because everything I own already makes use of it and I would have to do some work to jump to a new search engine

Why is Google refusing to answer my exact question? Or I have to search through pages and pages of links first to find it

Im so used to google that any duckduckgo search result feels weird, like imagine typing in what you want to find like a roblox devforum post that only appears on google, like we need a search engine identical to google with search results but without the tracking

I have DuckDuckGo as my default search engine in Safari, and I use their app a lot of the time because it blocks trackers. I actually find DuckDuckGo's results to be as good as Google most of the time, and it's good to know that they're not logging every search I make.

Thank-you so much for this video. It is so difficult to find anything relevant on Google search; having to browse multiple pages to find what I am searching for; google always giving you what they are interested in, instead of the words I search for. With DuckDuckGo, I get what I search for on the first page!

"...A..." search engine. Never "your" search engine. it implies you actually get to keep something...THAT seems to be really FROWNED upon. Or perhaps we must have...allegiance to brand names within all the musical chairs proffered from every Angle. Advise good. Allways have an alternate route. Consent sometimes...missing.

Google search is relevant? They show what they want to show me. Ignoring words I typed.

If you want to keep privacy by choosing secure search engine... you're on a wrong way! Why? Because the threat of anonymity leakage is located in the place, that you probably haven't thought of! It's your mobile gadgets! If you're using Android smartphone, it makes zero sense to improve your privacy by switching to the searching engine, other than Google Search!
Because, Google has already known everything about you! Where you live, where you go, every your activity in the Web!
The same applies to Apple devices. Yes, the "Big Brother", that watches you, will be different, but I doubt it, that it is a big benefit for you! Of course, Windows, MacOS etc. are all the same - all of them have a plenty of tracking tools inside!

I've used DDG for several years now. and it's fine. I only use Google for Hebrew sites as DDG, does not have this service. I'll now get the DDG app onto my desk top. Thanks.

DDG is my main browser, but I still use Google when needed.

Use brave or start page or anything but ddg, they point to the greater evil to distract from the skeletons in their closet

I've been using DuckDuck for over ten years. It has slowly got better, I used to run back to Google search all the time. I've found Google search has become worse while DuckDuck has got better... Google results look like the shopping search lately.

I switched to DuckDuckGo, several years ago, I've not noticed any real difference. I got tired of searching on a product, purchasing it and then being inundated with ads for that product for the next six months. I don't mind at all that I need to tell DuckDuckGo exactly what I want.

Been using DDG for years. Occasionally, I can't find anything even remotely relevant to what I'm looking for and I'll swap back to google for just that one, but otherwise it's great. IMHO it would be a whole lot better if it would allow decent queries* rather than just the "natural language" search.
*+ and - a word or phrase, and MEAN IT. Current behaviour treats them like a suggestion rather an imperative.

I use DuckDuckGo for 99% of my searches; however, if I am looking for products to buy I do occasionally use Google.
