AMG 45 is a completelty different car to the diesel you tested

I just rented one of these in Portugal and the handling was fantastic, the interface was excellent, and the ride was very smooth but grippy. It wasn't incredibly fast, but everything else made up for it.

Why is handling rated as a negative when the reviewer herself admits that it is more for comfortable/luxury than for sportiness? Surely that's a positive then as it succeeds in what it has set out to do? Or does the reviewer think every car should cater to sporty boyracers as a default?

My first thought was phwoar too. Then she started talking about the Merc.

I like her quirky delivery, but the one point 'free' (three) type mispronounciations always manage to confuse me for a split second.

looks more of a larger hatchback than a small estate? looks a bit Marmite to me, some angles looks great them others a bit mehh . just adding I've a w177 A-Class 👍 which I love to bits.

It's very big competition. Kia Proceed is very good car.

It's much smaller than I thought. I was expecting an ocean liner estate. It doesn't look like it will hold more than a set of golf clubs lol. I'm gonna look at the bigger estates. This is a bloody hairdresser's car built for posers!!

why for the love of god did they use that glossy black plastic all over the center. Its the single worst thing about any car interior, its a dust magnet, a fingerprint magnet and easily scratched

The cars interior looks great but materials are terrible, my brother owns one and there's always some sort of electrical problem unfortunately typical with the modern mercs

You can change the audio Tracks on the steering wheel you just need to have the audio showing in the middle of the instrument panel then you can use the mini thumb pad in the right of the steering wheel, up to go back down to go forward

As far as estates go, it's a greating looking one but I'd have preferred it if Mercedes has designed a liftback CLA or A class saloon instead.

With MB and Audi you basically get 3 wheels and a seat - everything else is extra.

Excellent review and amazing reviewer. Unique personality and very engaging.
However I work for Mercedes and noticed one small mistake when you mentioned the CLA250. You mentioned it shares its engine with the CLA35 AMG and the CLA45 AMG but that’s incorrect. It only shares it with the tuned CLA35 AMG. The CLA45 AMG uses its own completely different hand-built 2.0 litre petrol engine that isn’t currently shared with any other model.
Otherwise keep up the fun reviews. Love them! 😁👌🏽
