From my personal experience, the easiest way to record audio on PC is using houlo audio recorder.

In windows 11 It does not seem to be here, The stereo Mix in the All sound devices tab. Can I please have some further guidance.

I have Windows 10 , but there is a "manage sound devices menu", however I don't find this "stereo mix" option..
I also tried the older menu, by clicking the sound button in the old System menu , and under "recording" I find a list, but no Stereo mix option, only microphone options and a line in option..

bruh I need help. So I am able use stero but when I record on stero mix it records nothing. Only way it does record is when I dont have my headphones plugged in but when I don't have my headphones plugged in the audio sounds bad and fuzzy. It just doesn't hear anything when my headphones are in but when I dont have them in the audio sucks. How can I fix this??

First method with voice recorder sounds completly different from original for me, like there is some kind of echo added to the music after recording,, and the bass is empty like playing in empty room or under a bucket. Some kind of filter is added in my case. First method works only good for voice recording. Music is terrible. Or maybe my card is shit, I have Conexant ISST Audio in Probook 470G5. This laptop is for gaming i have very good graphic card, so i dont know what is the problem in my case. I turn down recording volume to 50% and tried to record in different program also like goldwave, in both cases i have the same, recording sound like shit. How this is possible that your voice recorder recording sound 1:1 and music sounds the same?

On newer versions the device toolbar is hidden by default.
view>toolbars>device toolbar brings it back up.

i CANT GET MY PC TO RECORD WHAT I AM HEARING ON MY HEADPHONES. IVE TRIED EVERYTHING.

Worked perfectly on my windows 11 but not on my windows 10 desktop.
Could not get the stereo mix to show up in my desktop for the life of me.

I have win 11 and there's no button that allows me to actually select stereo mix, I do see it under the input list but cant select it.....

i did it using 1st method but my record have wierd sound, like wiggle effect. i dont know the detail setting to make my stereo mix capture exact same as my speaker output
